Baldur's Gate 3: Chamber of Justice Puzzle Solution

Among the varied puzzles in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the Chamber of Justice puzzle in Wyrmway. This is one of those puzzles that offers very less hints or suggestions and seems quite challenging. Being a part of Wyll’s story, the Chamber of Justice is among the four chambers that you need to go through to get closer to Ansur’s Lair.

Entering the chamber, you are faced with the statue of Balduran that asks you to serve justice by choosing the right painting from the walls. However, the center of the chamber area with the paintings and a Judge is covered with a black fog-like curse. Now, the Chamber of Justice puzzle might look to be a tricky one, and we are here to tell you exactly how to solve it.

How to solve the Chamber of Justice puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3

The three paintings on the walls by the names The Freedom, The Hanging, and The Cell depict the story of a man who went to the courthouse for being a petty criminal. So, the correct solution for that is The Cell painting, as it punishes the criminal for his sins but doesn’t set him free or hang him to death, both of which are wrong as depicted in the other two paintings.

Now let us have a look at the Chamber of Justice Puzzle solution:

After your encounter with Balduran’s statue, you need to remove the black fog-like curse from the center of the chamber that covers the Judge and the paintings.
To do that, you need to cast a Remove Curse spell on the Judge. You can also cast the spell individually on each painting as well but doing it on the judge removes the curse altogether.
The next step is to pick up The Cell painting from the wall.

In this last step, you need to open your inventory, select The Cell painting, and click on the “Insert” option.

Now you have to move towards the empty dais and click on it, upon which a window will pop up asking to “Insert Item”.
