Reverse 1999’s 1.1 update does not only come with new events and exclusive banners, the update also dedicates an entire event to the newly added Arcanist Melania. Melania, the 6-star beast elemental is introduced to be a cunning thief in The Theft of the Rimet Cup event in the game.
While her thievery and cunning are very well presented in the event, we are hardly made aware of her incredible fighting skills and strong powers when it comes to the Reverse 1999 battle mode. So, we have decided to dedicate this article to showcasing Melania’s skills so that you can get some inspiration for your own Melania build in the game. Melania Backstory
Melania’s existence dates back to the 1960s London when the Ramirez were the noble museum owners holding precious art pieces in their collections. A journalist by day and a notorious thief by night, Melania was trained under Ms. Acey to be the best at that line of work.
But according to Reverse 1999’s 1.1 update event dedicated to Melania’s storyline, it turns out that Melania is, in fact, the daughter of Ramirez. And on top of that, she has been stealing from her own father’s workplace as a sign of rebellion against his oppressive ways. She believes that the whole Ramirez façade of conventional security can breached since it has no sense of innovation.
Melania’s Skills In Reverse 1999
Melania is a beast Arcanist with Mental damage powers in the game. Being so strong, she can be considered as a Main DPS in any battling team and can deal high damage to the enemies with her incredible skills. She is also known to inflict Burst Damage on her enemies. Her attacking skills include:

| Ridiculous Eyewitness Testimony | This one-target attack deals 650% mental damage to enemies and inflicts 1 stack of the Thief Master effect on Melania. |
| Silent Takedown | Silent Takedown is an attacking skill that deals 400% mental damage to one target and reduces their Moxie by -1. If Melania has the Thief Master effect active, then another -1 Moxie is taken from the enemy. |
| Clockwork Rats | This is a mass attack that deals 300% mental damage to two enemies and increases the Leech Rate by +20%. If Thief Master is already active Moxie for Melania increases by +1, and Leech Rate by +30%. |
Thief Master is an effect associated with Melania’s Ridiculous Eyewitness Testimony skill where her next Incantation is enhanced.
Since she belongs to the Beast afflatus, Melania can deal 30% additional damage to plant elemental beings. But, being a beast elemental also means that she will be weaker against mineral types in the game. You will need to always check your opponent’s elements before putting together your own team composition during battles.
Melania Psychubes
There are a total of five different Psychubes suited for Melania that can boost her attack and give enough defensive support as well. They are:
- Luxurious Leisure – This 6-star pyschube was recently introduced in the 1.1 update and designed especially for Melania. Level 5 of Luxurious Leisure increases Melania’s damage dealt by 9% and stacks up to 3 times once an Ultimate is cast onto enemies.
- Brave New World – This psychube increases the character’s Incantation Might by 40% after the Ultimate is cast.
- His Bounded Duty – Another 6-star psychube to add to Melania’s upgrade, His Bounded Duty increases her HP every time a targeted enemy is defeated in level 5.
- The Carat of the Heart – Although not currently available in the Global servers of Reverse 1999, The Carat of the Heart is a 6-star psychube that increases the power of the next Ultimate by 16% at level 5 if the character has at least +3 Moxie on that round. If they have more than 3, the power increases to +24%.
- Thunderous Applause – If your character attacks one selected target in battle and the hit turns out to be critical, then Critical damage increases to +32%
While Luxurious Leisure is definitely recommended for your Melania build, His Bounded Duty can act as a healing psychube if your team lacks a healer in battle. You can switch out the Thunderous Applause for The Carat of the Heart once this psychube is available in the game’s global servers.
Melania’s Inheritance
Other than her powerful skills, Melania can also have an Inheritance skill known as Top Student. Insight III of Top Student states that after casting the Ultimate, Melania will get an additional stack of the Fixed Plan effect in the game. The Fixed Plan effect can increase her Ultimate’s power by 12% and can be stacked up to 6 times in battle.
To get Insight III of Top Student, you need:
- 20000x Sharpodonty
- 16x Tome of Beastly Thirst
- 8x Murmur of Insanity
- 3x Fruit of Good and Evil
Although some of these materials might be hard to come by and take a lot of time to collect, all these upgrades and leveling up will make Melania one of the best Main DPS in the game, and all your hard work will pay off.
Reverse 1999 Melania Team Composition
Since Melania can be the Main DPS or the Sub DPS in your Reverse 1999 battling team, you need a strong healer and support to complete your roster. Here are some suggestions:
- Healer – Medicine Pocket, Dikke, Balloon Party, Tooth Fairy
- Support – Sonetto, An-an Lee, Pickles, Diggers, Baby Blue, A Knight, Voyager, Shamane.
