This Reverse 1999 progression guide offers valuable tips and tricks that you can employ to progress faster in Bluepoch’s popular time-traveling gacha RPG. While the game puts much emphasis on combat, progression in this game isn’t completely dependent on how many fights you engage in or how many characters you unlock.

Through careful collection of valuable resources and timely participation in banners and limited-time events, you can be the best Timekeeper and navigate your way through the Storm.

Reverse 1999 Farming Guide

Reverse 1999 offers various in-game resources that can be earned or ‘farmed’ through various methods. To earn considerable amounts of resources, such as Clear Drops, Unilogs, Sharpondonty, and Dust, you can take the following steps:

  1. As with any other live-service gacha game, ensure that you play Reverse 1999 every day. Playing every day will make sure that you do not miss out on any daily activity, special challenge, or unique event.
  2. Complete the main stories as soon as possible. Clearing out stages and completing the main story is one of the fastest ways to increase your inventory.
  3. Build and improve upon your Wilderness (side mode unlocked by completing Chapter 2) to farm resources.

Check out our comprehensive Reverse 1999 farming guide to get a deeper understanding of how to earn rewards and farm essential resources through various methods.

How To Boost Your Progression In Reverse 1999

Do Not Miss Daily Activities

Daily activities are among the easiest and most beneficial ways to gain exciting rewards. The process to redeem these rewards is pretty straightforward and you can gain tons of resources just by being mindful about these events. Here are some of the daily activities that you can participate in and progress with considerable speed in your Reverse 1999 journey:

  1. Daily Login: Log into your official game account every day to receive free rewards. The rewards gained by daily login activity include premium currencies as well as stamina.
  2. Stamina Management: It is important to use up all of your stamina each and every day. When it comes to other online free-to-play games, such as Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, or this one, preserving and calculatedly using your stamina refills might be the best strategy. In Reverse 1999, however, the game rewards you for putting in the maximum effort.
Ensure that you use up your stamina to clear daily stages, participate in events, and farm various resources. As the game rewards you for clearing the stage and moving on, your stamina will refill each time you successfully progress in the story.
  3. Pneuma Analysis: Make sure that you finish the Pneuma Analysis stages twice every day in order to win special gear enhancement materials. This will aid you in buffing up your team and characters, ensuring a larger success rate when playing in-game stages.
  4. Resource Management: While you should use your stamina refills regularly, you must be mindful of how you plan to spend your resources. Keep a close tab on your inventory and use the currencies and essential resources by planning ahead. Furthermore, make sure that you participate in special side events to stand a chance to win more resources.
  5. Artificial Somnambulism: In Chapter 3, make sure that you unlock Artificial Somnambulism. This will ensure that you gain access to Sharpondonty, Oneiric Shop currency, and Clear Drops required for gacha pulls.

Build A Strong Team

Your team is your most important asset in Reverse 1999. A well-balanced team with a dedicated healer, a core damage dealer, and a defender will help you clear out in-game stages easily and progress faster. Be mindful of the following while choosing a team for each stage/ chapter:

  1. Focus on Certain Characters: Rather than spending your resources willy-nilly to upgrade every unit/ character you get your hands on, focus on a few major characters. Raise their effectiveness by upgrading only a handful of characters that you know will work perfectly considering your playstyle. Having four to six maxed-out characters will work much better than having a roster of subpar decked-out units.
  2. Pay Attention to Your Team’s Composition: Ensure that you craft and take into the battles a well-composed team. Select members with supplementary, yet distinctly diverse sets of skills and abilities. Your team should be able to handle enemies of different elements and have specific roles in your team, and they MUST include — a damage dealer, a support unit, and a tank.
  3. Choose Teammates with Complimentary Roles: Your team must have synergy while in battle. Compose your team with utmost care. Be mindful of each role and ensure synergy while putting them together. Prioritize and bundle together the characters that display complementary strengths.
  4. Place the Characters Carefully: Once you have assembled your team, you must choose the correct order to place them in the team formation menu. As Reverse 1999 is a turn-based game, you should ensure that their placement is strategic. Place your stronger characters on the left, as they have a higher chance of being obtained from skill card merges.

Take Advantage Of Game Mechanics

Reverse 1999 employs various in-game mechanics that make the gameplay exciting, fun, and challenging. In order to progress faster in the game, make sure you are well-versed with them and can use them to your advantage. Here’s some in-game mechanics to be mindful about:

  1. Character Afflatus: Make sure that you select characters that feature a higher Afflatus level in order to gain a significant stat boost.
  2. Tuning Skills: Utilize tuning skills at precisely the right time in order to maximize their impact and turn the tide of the battle to your side.
  3. Skill Card Merging: In battle, strategically merge your skill cards in order to enhance the effects of individual cards and gain access to new, powerful skills unlocked by merging.
  4. Healer and Buffer Integration: Place and use healers and buffers on your team to ensure higher survivability as well as increased damage done to the enemy.
  5. Gacha and Re-rolling: Ensure that you use gacha pulls in a strategic manner in order to acquire new characters. However, you must also make sure that you re-roll if you are unhappy with your initial pull.

Note: Strategic planning, as well as consistent effort, are two main pillars that will aid you in progressing faster in Reverse 1999.
