At first glance, the SteamWorld Build system requirements seem like they wouldn’t be very serious. The game looks cartoony and seems like a simple town builder. However, this game is also a dungeon crawler with more going on under the hood. You can find the game’s system requirements below.
What Are The System Requirements For SteamWorld Build On PC?
The system requirements for SteamWorld Build (courtesy of Steam) are as follows:

- Processor: Intel Core i5 8400
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 4 GB available space
- Additional Notes: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
These are not huge requirements and your average PC could run it pretty easily.
Can I Run SteamWorld Build?
There are two ways to see if your PC can run SteamWorld Build. The first thing you should do is to check the requirements above and reference them with your own system. To do this:
- Click the Start button at the bottom right of your screen.
- Type System Information into the search bar.
- Click on the System Information app.
- The System Information window will open.
- In the left pane, click the System Summary tab.
The selected item’s information will be displayed in the right pane. You can use this to see if your PC matches the system requirements.
Alternatively, you can check your PC against a site that determines if it can run the game. Unfortunately, that’s limited because the game hasn’t been released, and is more indie. This means many of these services will not have the game in their system.
It is recommended that your computer has at least 8 GB of RAM installed to run SteamWorld Build. The size of the game is small at 4 GB. Moreover, you’ll need at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card to play the game. If you don’t own an equivalent or better graphics card, you won’t be able to play the game. It is also necessary to have a minimum CPU equivalent to an Intel Core i5-8400.
