The Day Before is launching in early access on PC via Steam (Link to the game’s Steam page). Notably, it was the most wishlisted game on the Steam storefront before getting delisted due to a third-party copyright claim on its name.
As intimated by the devs in a FAQ, “After a long legal battle, we are proud to have defended the intellectual property of “The Day Before”. This was confirmed by the decision of the Intellectual Property Tribunal.”
Is The Day Before Releasing On Xbox Series X|S Platforms?
For its early access period, The Day Before will be limited to PC only. However, according to the devs, once the game is ready to have its full release, it will be launched on the next-gen consoles.
So, to sum up, The Day Before will be releasing on Xbox Series X|S, but you have to wait for the game’s early access phase to be over.

According to them, “The full version will be released when we are confident that it represents the best version of the game possible. We believe that player feedback and involvement are crucial to achieving this goal.”
Fans of open-world survival MMOs have been burnt too many times in the last decade with games indefinitely staying in early access—Dayz and Scum being two biggest examples. I am cautiously optimistic about what Fntastic has in store with the Day Before.
Is The Day Before Releasing On PlayStation 4?
The PS4 platform will not receive The Day Before, as it also subject to the early access period limit. Although we don’t know if the game will come out on last-gen consoles later, we do know it won’t.
