What to expect from Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon
While Armored Core 6 caters to both previous and current-generation consoles, the visuals showcased in the recent gameplay previews prove that FromSoftware has outdone themselves visually with the latest entry in the mech series. The game boasts bigger and much grander boss battles with an engaging story, as is the staple of FromSoftware.
Fires of Rubicon shifts its narrative backdrop outside the Sol system, introducing players to the remote planet of Rubicon 3. This uncharted territory unveils a captivating storyline intertwined with the discovery of a mysterious substance with potential technological advancements. However, unforeseen calamity strikes, engulfing the planet in flames and setting the stage for a multi-faction struggle for supremacy.
Gameplay and mechanics
As in previous iterations, Armored Core 6 places players in the pilot seat of powerful mechs known as Armored Cores. The hallmark of the series – customization – takes center stage, allowing you to modify your mechs using earned credits and parts. You’ll engage in fast-paced, mission-based combat across open levels teeming with diverse enemies. The gameplay retains its challenging nature, reminiscent of FromSoftware’s signature difficulty, providing both new and veteran players with a satisfying test of skill.
