Now before moving ahead, you also need to ensure you have unlocked the Lectern of Enchantment which is a mechanism used to collect bounties and craft gears using the Nightmare Essence.
For those wondering how to unlock it, it becomes available right after the completion of the Back From The Dark quest. While it can be located near the Sanctuary landing zone on the Moon. It is crucial in this quest to create a Legendary Titan mark that serves as one of the rewards at the end of this quest.
With that out of the way, let us have a look at how to complete the Essence of Despair quest below:
- At the start, you need to begin with completing various activities on the Moon that involve looting chests, collecting resources, finishing patrols, public events, and the lost sectors on the Moon, that will help you cleanse the Essence.
- All these activities will ensure that the Activities Completed bar is filled to the max which is essential for the cleansing of the Essence. If you need to do ii rapidly, the best way is to go on a killing spree and take down enemies which will eventually fill the bar faster.
- Once you are done with cleansing the Essence, get back to Eris Morn where the quest will almost be completed by now.
- Additionally, for those who have unlocked the Lectern of Enchantment before, you can use it to fuse the Nightmare Essence and Eric Morn’s magic to create a new gear called the Dreambane Mark, which is the Legendary Titan mark mentioned above. Meanwhile, those who have not yet unlocked Lectern of Enchantment can skip this step altogether and the Destiny 2 Essence of Despair quest will be completed in the previous step only.
