Phrolova is an exceptionally powerful DPS unit in Wuthering Waves, who finally became playable in version 2.5. A lot of players have been saving for her ever since the game launched, even at the cost of skipping other important units.
The problem is Phrolova is a bit constrained when it comes to team compositions, as there aren’t many units to synergize with her, which will make getting a party ready a bit difficult.
As such, here’s a detailed guide to the best units that you can pair alongside Phrolova, including a potential free-to-play option for those who skipped some of the other units.
Phrolova Premium Team in Wuthering Waves

In this team, Phrolova is the main DPS who will pretty much do her own thing, which includes dealing a lot of on-field and off-field damage. However, this team is heavily carried by the supports, with Cantarella being the most important unit.
She increases Resonance Skill DMG, Havoc DMG, and heals the party. Her personal damage is exceptionally high; she excels at multiple Echo Skill casts, which is absolutely essential for Phrolova.
As for Roccia, she can buff the Havoc DMG and Basic ATK DMG for Cantarella, which is a really nice addition to have. She can also help with crowd control, which comes in handy after Phrolova buffs Roccia’s Havoc and Heavy ATK DMG.
In short, this is the most complete team you can run for Phrolova, and is also the best one in almost every possible way.

Phrolova General Team in Wuthering Waves

This team functions almost similarly to the previous one, except in this case, there is no Roccia to boost Cantarella’s damage. However, Shorekeeper is arguably the best support in the game who buffs both Crit Rate and Crit DMG of the units.
Additionally, Shorekeeper’s field keeps evolving, and it’s at its maximum once you hit the second Intro Skill, which will be Phrolova in this case. She will receive the maximum buffs from Shorekeeper’s Ultimate and thereby deal massive damage to all enemies.
However, Phrolova’s Heavy ATK and Havoc DMG buffs from her Outro Skill, won’t benefit Shorekeeper, since she is a complete Support with no damage capabilities.

This is the best F2P team you can have for Phrolova in the game right now. There is a severe lack of good 4-star units, which makes it difficult to create a better F2P team alongside Phrolova.

Havoc Rover functions as the secondary DPS here, though you will have to build them optimally with high investment. They do not offer anything to Phrolova in terms of buffs, which means if they fall off in damage numbers, it will be difficult to function.
Verina is a good addition here as she can heal everyone in the team, and also provide ATK buffs, which are ideal for Phrolova. However, she doesn’t provide any Crit Buffs or Havoc DMG buffs, which means, Phrolova will rely on her own build and output to clear endgame content.
