The preload schedule for Cronos: The New Dawn on PlayStation 5 has been revealed through PlayStation database entries. Players who preordered the Deluxe Edition can start preloading on September 1, 2025. Those who bought the Standard Edition will be able to begin on September 3, 2025.
Digital preorders will come with the latest available update already included in the download. However, another update may still arrive closer to the early access period and launch day. Physical disc buyers will likely need to install this update after inserting the disc.
The full release of Cronos: The New Dawn is set for September 5, 2025, but Deluxe Edition players will get to jump in 48 hours earlier. Preload ensures that players can start playing right away once the servers go live, without waiting for large downloads on launch day.

The PlayStation 5 version of Cronos: The New Dawn requires 21.429 GB of storage space. Compared to Bloober Team’s last major and successful release, the Silent Hill 2 remake, which took up 50.535 GB, Cronos uses less than half the storage.
