When you are doing the Delirium endgame in Path of Exile 2, you will come across Loathsome Mire entrances that appear as Red Fractured Mirror Shards. It’s a portal that will teleport you to a brand new area, huge in scale, with no sign of a way out. The size of the area can be overwhelming, and the area is filled with enemies too. If you are unaware of the path, all you will do is run in circles and finally give up. Here we will take a quick look at the way out of Loathsome Mire and the rewards waiting at the end in Path of Exile 2.
How to Get out of Loathsome Mire

Follow the flow of blood in the arena to find the way out of the zone.
Before leaving Loathsome Mire, we must first enter it. To enter the special arena, you just need to take part in a Delirium Mirror Fog event; while in the event, you will come across the Red Fractured Mirror Shard that will take you to the Loathsome Mire arena.
Red Fractured Mirror Shard transports you into a different place where you have to figure out the way out by yourself. The area is called Loathsome Mire, and it is quite big; if you don’t know what you are doing, you will get lost and run in circles. In many ways, the area of Loathsome Mire reminded me of the boss fight arena for Infinite Hunger in Path of Exile 1. One of the boss attacks fills the entire battlefield with nothing but bile, and you have to look for clues to get out.
The same tactic works here as well: when you get teleported to Loathsome Mire, you will be in a new land with blood everywhere, but if you look closely, you will see the blood moving in a direction; follow the direction to find the way out of Loathsome Mire.
Note: Another tempting factor about this arena is the Delirium enemies’ spawn; while they do spawn constantly, you can forget about farming them because they don’t yield any EXP on death, so you are just wasting time if you are planning to farm in the arena.
The best thing to do is to ignore all the enemies in the area, find a platform around the blood, stay idle for a second, and observe the liquid around the platform to see the flow direction. Then you can think about moving in that direction to escape.
Note: While you can stand on blood, it puts a debuff (Chaos and Physical) on your character, a damage-over-time effect that can be lethal if you stay longer in the stream of blood. Solid ground is the best way to ignore most of the damage debuffs in the arena.
One thing I would like to add: the blood is moving downstream, so follow the trail to get your way out of the Loathsome Mire, and quickly you will find small steps leading to an open area with an Unethical Offering at the end. Interact with the altar to get a Twisted Amulet or Distorted Amulet as a reward for escaping.
Tip: There is a chance you might not see the item drop; here I will recommend turning off the loot filter to spot the drop.
Amulet Reward
The Amulet (Twisted Amulet or Distorted Amulet) that you will get from Loathsome Mire is more powerful and better compared to the common Amulet drops in the game. It is the special perk that makes these Loathsome Mire’s Amulets a great pickup option.
What makes Loathsome Mire’s Amulet a better choice than your common amulets? Normal amulets have one Instill (adding Passive Skills to the Amulet/ Anoint System in POE 1), while the Amulet found in Loathsome Mire has the option for 2 Instill, which means it comes with two Passive Skills (RNG) embedded in the amulet, making it more powerful and a better option.
