In Moonlight Peaks, you can turn into a black cat, a mermaid, and a flying Bat. While the cat is excellent on the ground and the mermaid can help you in water, turning into a bat covers all terrain. You can fly over any water and land area with extremely fast movement. If you are looking to turn into a bat in Moonlight Peaks, then this guide will help you turn into a fully fledged bat in Moonlight Peaks.
Getting the Bat Form in Moonlight Peaks
You must finish the “Master of the Night” quest to gain the ability to turn into a bat. The quest comes after the completion of “The Moon in the Sky“. First, get to the Misty Shores; it’s the area that unlocks after lifting the curse of the bridge. Head inside, and a cutscene will trigger Orlock getting angry about his bats. After the cutscene, we will be tasked with getting Orlock a Red Wine. Here is a brief overlook at all the related tasks that need to be completed to get the bat transformation.
- Getting the Red Wine for Orlock
- Retrieve the Package for Orlock
- Find Three Chalice Pieces in Misty Shores
- Getting Raspberry and Cranberry
Season: You will get the bat transformation in Autumn, Year 2. Some have gotten it in Year 2, Spring.
Getting the Red Wine for Orlock

We must craft the Red Wine x1 out of four Blood Grapes via the Keg. To get Blood Grapes, buy the Blood Grape Seed from Luna’s Seed Stall for 20 coins.
Note: Now plant the Blood Grape Seed on the ground and water the spot to harvest Blood Grapes. Remember, we will need just four of these Grapes to craft Red Wine. You will get 3x produce per harvest, and it will take 5 days and four nights to regrow.
Once you have the ingredient, head into the house and use the Blood Grapes on the Keg to create Red Wine. Now deliver the Red Wine to Orlock at Ambrosia Mansion to get the next task.
Tip: While you are at Luna’s Seed Stall, grab Raspberry and Cranberry seeds; plant them to harvest Raspberry and Cranberry; we will need them for the later section of the questline.
Retrieve the Package for Orlock

Now our next task is to retrieve a secret package from Mina at Coffee & Coffins. Head over to Coffee & Coffins and talk to Mina to retrieve the package. Surprise, the package is Orlock’s laundry. Mina will ask us to join her at Ambrosia Mansion to help us with the bat transformation.
When you get to the Ambrosia Mansion, we will learn about the Chalice being broken into pieces; we must talk to Jarvis to find out more about it. You will find Jarvis at Ambrosia Cemetery located just right of Ambrosia Mansion. Talk to him, and he will ask you to find all three Chalice Pieces scattered in Misty Shores.
Find Three Chalice Pieces in Misty Shores

You don’t have to travel to a different area; all three are found in Misty Shores. I’ve marked the spots on the image above to help you track these pieces down easily.
- The first one is located near the bell at Ambrosia Graveyard. Just take the stairs behind Jarvis and head left, and you will find a black bell at the corner. Here you will find the first chalice piece on the ground, hiding in the bushes.
- The second one is located southwest of the Moonlight Tower, southeast of Misty Shores. Head to the blue-mushroom circle, and you will find the chalice piece next to the rock a bit south of the mushroom spot.
- The last one is located near the Cave of Echoes, southwest of Misty Shores. Don’t get inside the cave; you will find a small rock lying near the cave’s entrance. Head behind the rock to grab the third and final chalice piece.
There we go; now we have all three pieces to craft the Chalice. Head to the Coffin & Coffee in town and talk to Mina and inform her about the chalice pieces. Now we are tasked with fixing the chalice, which can be done by using the Furnace. Just simply add Chalice Pieces x 3 into the Furnace to craft a perfect Chalice.
Getting Raspberry and Cranberry

Now with Chalice in hand, head to Ambrosia Mansion, talk to Orlock, and he will give you one final task about getting Raspberry and Cranberry. If you think you have it lying in your inventory, you can check the Consumable section to find out about these ingredients. If you don’t, then you must create it out of seeds by good ol’ farming.
Raspberry & Cranberry: Both of these seeds can be bought from Luna’s Seed Stall in the Moonlit Pines area. Use the seeds to grow the plant to produce the fruits.
Note: Raspberry will take around 7 days to mature and two days to regrow after harvesting.
You don’t need too many of these fruits; just grab a single Raspberry & Cranberry for the quest. Once you have them both, head to the Ambrosia Graveyard. Here you will find Orlock with his children gathered around a Red Chalice on the ground. Deliver the fruits, and Orlock will begin the transformation process to completely turn you into a bat.
Now, as a bat, you can go up and down on ledges to new areas. The game also sets up new blueprints and other items around windows to help reward players for exploration. In short, turning into a bat not only looks cool, but you will also open a whole new way of playing the game, reversing the old location to grab something that you couldn’t reach before.
