In Palworld 1.0, the Legendary Charge Rifle is arguably the strongest single-target weapon in the entire game. Boasting a massive 15,000 attack power, it fires rapidly and melts endgame bosses. However, getting the Charge Rifle Schematic 4 takes a bit of work (as it should). In this guide, I will go over the best two ways to and farm for it efficiently like a pro.
Method 1: The Breeding & Butchering Loop

The traditional way to get the blueprint is by targeting the Level 60 Alpha Boss, Neptilius. Grab your best cold-resistant armor, and fast-travel to the Frozen Dune Cape. Once here, head northwest across the water to the glacier island, and enter the Sealed Realm of the Glacial Core at the coordinates 138,655. Fight Neptilius, who offers a a tiny 3% chance to drop the schematic. But that’s not all.

Here comes the neat part – you don’t need to wait an hour for the boss to respawn. Instead, you can use a bug(?) called the “Breeding Loop”. Capture the Alpha Neptilius during the boss fight with Exotic or Ultimate Spheres. Since it is one of the Pals that CANNOT be cross-bred with other species, put two captured Neptilius pals into a Breeding Pen to produce eggs.

To guarantee your hatched eggs are Alpha Pals (which have the red boss icon required for the 3% drop), keep a max-starred Broncherry and Broncherry Aqua in your active party. Their passive partner skills work together to push the Alpha egg hatch rate to a whopping 100. Mass-hatch the eggs, line the Alpha Neptilius pals up at your base, and use the Butcher Knife. Butchering gives you an entirely separate 3% drop roll per Pal.
This part is what you would call a bug, but it is more of an exploit. If you lack patience, gather 5-10 hatched Alpha Neptilius Pals. Manually save your game, butcher them all, and look for the gold legendary beam. If it fails to drop, immediately close the game to the main menu without saving, reload, and try again.
Method 2: The Arena Grind

Like most survival/looter game mechanics, there are two ways to skin a cat. One that depends on luck, and the other that depends on grind and patience. If RNGesus is not on your side, skip the boss drops entirely and head to the Palworld Arena (628,16). Go to the Thirst’s End in the southeast desert biome, and hop on a flying mount to get to the southwestern region, to a small isolated island. Queue up for Arena challenges and PvP matches. Winning these fights awards Arena Tokens – or they are called – Battle Tickets.

Gather exactly 1,500 tickets and interact with the Arena Merchant standing right by the Arena entrance. One of things he sells at his shop is this schematic – a confirmed way to acquire it. Once you read the schematic, build an Advanced Weapon Assembly Line. You will require:
- 400 Coralum
- 50 Bio Batteries
- 30 Computers
- 10 Thermal Core
- PalCrystalEx
Also, Make sure you do not forget the ammo economy. The Charge Rifle unlocks its specific ammunition recipe at level 65. To craft a batch of ammo, you will need Coralum, Hexalyte, and Electric Organs.
There are a couple of other ways to acquire it as well, but the drop percentage is so low, it is not even worth mentioning. However, if you are curious, these are the rest of the methods to acquire it:
- Sakurijima Sea Base final reward chest
- Treasure Map 05 reward chest
- Feybreak Dungeon fishing loot
