The Apex Legends Season 30 update brings a wealth of changes that are expected to change the battle royale’s ever-changing meta. Similar to previous seasonal updates, Respawn Entertainment has unveiled several adjustments to some of its oldest Legends in a bid to make them viable options for players dropping into casual and ranked matches. A total of three Legends have undergone adjustments, and we’ve got everything you need to know before the new season gets underway.
Apex Legends Season 30: Bloodhound Buffed

Almost every part of Bloodhound is being adjusted as part of the Season 30 update while keeping the Legend’s core identity the same. The update will introduce an upgrade to Bloodhound’s passive ability, which now shows you enemy movements in the form of a clear glowing trail.
Alongside improvements to their passive ability, the White Ravens will fly further and mark two different enemies at the same time. This is particularly useful when you’re in a hotly contested area of the map with several opponents in proximity. With the ability to highlight two targets, it provides greater awareness of your surroundings and the option to decide which fight is best to take.
For Season 30 of Apex Legends, Bloodhound will receive a new Ultimate. Known as Allfather’s Cloak, the Ultimate cloaks all squadmates and enemies who approach for 12 seconds, making it much harder for enemies to keep track of your location. Allfather’s Cloak is the perfect tool for ambushing unsuspecting opponents or escaping unfavourable situations.
Apex Legends Season 30: Loba and Rampart Buffs

In addition to Bloodhound’s buffs, Rampart and Loba have also received small ability changes that are expected to improve their viability. For Loba, the focus is speed, with a shorter Ultimate cooldown and a tactical ability that flies further and faster for greater options when moving around the battlefield.
Elsewhere, Rampart has benefitted from an increase in speed with quicker movement while using Sheila the minigun. Her tactical now deploys quicker and will benefit from an increase in wall health, offering greater cover at earlier EVO levels.
Apex Legends Season 30: Valkyrie and Axle Nerfs

For several seasons, Valkyrie has remained a popular choice for those looking to deal plenty of damage. As a result of her damage output, Respawn Entertainment has reduced the missile damage and trajectory of their tactical alongside reducing their ultimate.
The ultimate is a significant change to bring Valkyrie in line with other Legends, lowering the height by 15% and nerfing Eye in the Sky and Supersonic upgrades. The adjustments will open the door for players to pick other Legends, creating a diverse casual and competitive meta.
Respawn Entertainment reveals that Axle’s pick rate has experienced an upward trajectory. To stop the Legend from becoming overpowered in Apex Legends Season 30, their ultimate now impacts the user and their allies. While enemies take damage from being stunned and displaced, allies won’t take any damage.
