Chop Chop Inc is a game with a unique premise, but it does not stop there with its uniqueness. When chopping trees and building furniture alone gets tiring, Hamsters come to the rescue with their automation. Yes, Hamsters are not just cute distractions in the game, but they are a huge part of how you automate your workflow. After you unlock them with a special questline, you can assign them to help you run machines instead of doing everything manually.
In this guide, I will guide you on how to unlock the Hamster quest in Chop Chop Inc, so you can automate your dream furniture-building workflow to defeat the evil corporation.
How to Unlock the Hamster Quest in Chop Chop Inc
If you are looking for the Hamster home in Chop Chop Inc, the location is sealed behind a broken bridge mechanism, deep in the mine’s lava cave area. Moreover, I was not able to just walk in and get there, but had to open it up by following a set of specific steps.

Craft a Cogwheel: You have to craft a cogwheel, which can be done at the furnace, situated next to the Woodman Corp building. You will require four metal ingots to craft this one.

Repair Broken Lever: Head over to the mine and interact with the gear mechanism there. Select Build and repair the broken lever with the help of your cogwheel.

Open Path: Once done, pull the lever to open a new path that leads to the Hamster Home.

Talk to Daddy Hamster: Once you are inside, meet with Daddy Hamster and interact with him. He will tell you that Momma Hamster is pregnant and your help is required to make their life easy.

Talk to Momma Hamster: Head to Momma Hamster in the room and start the official Hamster Questline.
Remember to repair the mine’s bridge mechanic; otherwise, you won’t be able to reach the Hamster home. Once the bridge is repaired, starting and following the questline is relatively simple.
Complete List of Materials Required for the Hamster Questline in Chop Chop Inc
To unlock and finish the Hamster questline from start to finish, I recommend keeping track of all the required resources so you don’t feel confused as you progress. Also, gathering the items ahead of time can save you from some serious backtracking.
- Reaching the Hamster Home: Requires 1 cogwheel made with 4 Metal Ingots.
- Very Comfortable Pillows: Craft 2 worn-out pillows with 8 Stonewood.
- A Little Snack: 1 Chocolate Cream and 1 Pickled Cucumber for Momma Hamster will cost you 10 Gold each.
- Fixing the Pipe: Just your trusty axe will do the trick.
- Hamster Resort: 1 Hamster House will require 10 small animal fence, 5 small birch beam, and a single birch plank.
How to Complete the Hamster Questline in Chop Chop Inc
The four-chain-long questline in Chop Chop Inc starts right after you talk to Momma Hamster inside the Hamster Home. Here’s what each quest asks from you:

Very Comfortable Pillows: Get hold of the two worn-out pillows from in front of Momma Hamster and take them back to the Workbench. Repair them with Stonewood and return them to Momma Hamster.

A Little Snack: With the help of Screw It! Supplies, order your Chocolate Cream and Pickled Cucumber. It can be done with the help of the PC next to the Workbench. After the order arrives, combine the items at the Workbench and feed the mix to Momma Hamster.

Fixing the Pipe: Head over to the clogged inlet pipe, which is found near the main outlet pipe, and climb on top of it. With the help of your axe, clear the blockage.

Hamster Resort: The final quest is what triggers the Hamstertech you desperately require to power automation. Gather all the materials for a Hamster Cage and then head to the pipe and build it.
In the notification section of the screen, you will see the pop-up for “Hamstertech is unlocked” right after you build your cage. That is a confirmation message for you finishing the questline.
What Does Hamstertech Do in Chop Chop Inc?
After you have unlocked Hamstertech, you can send Momma Hamster’s pickles and chocolate mix through the inlet pipe whenever you need more Hamsters. They can be assigned to machines that free you from operating them by hand.
My suggestion will be to not assign all the Hamsters immediately and hold on to a few of them. You might need them for a Hamster ritual and crafting Batteries for the Electronics Press later in the game. And that completes the path of Hamstertech, from broken lever to working automation.
