I’ve been wandering the purple-tinged woods of the Forest of Falling Stars in Aniimo, and this little side quest is one of the more charming ones you’ll run into early on. It’s part of the broader A Fragrant Journey series of side quests, specifically titled Journey for Fragrance: Forest of Falling Stars.

How to Start Forest of Falling Stars Side Quest in Aniimo
The Forest of Falling Stars side quest unlocks on talking to Perfumer Dael near the Celetis Outpost. You can find him in the northwest area from the first Aniimo in the Forest of the Falling Stars region. You will spot a large, hollowed-out log. Go inside, and you will find a group of Celestis hanging about.
Talk to Dael, and he will explain the situation and ask you to gather Large Starine Fruit as offerings for the festival, but they can’t seem to find any of the big ones. That’s where you come in to gather them.
Starine Fruits Locations in Aniimo
These fruits are the bigger versions of the regular Starine fruit you will see hanging around inside the cave. They are spread out, but you can get hold of them easily. Twine as a Celestis and get inside the cave, you will see three empty nests inside of which you have to submit the fruits. This is where the real quest begins.
First Fruit
Around the area, you will see plenty of small Starine fruits; collect them and then head over to Dum Dum, who is standing on the left side of the nests, near a corner. Talk to him and submit 10 fruits. Once you have done that, he will let you take the Large Starine Fruit, which is next to him.
Second Fruit
Head over to the right side of the nests, and you will spot a hollowed-out branch. Inside the hollow section, you can find the next Large Starine Fruit along with a chest. Collect the fruit and the items from the chest, as they will help you out early game.
Third Fruit
From the nests, move towards the right again, and you will see a cute Celestis guarding a small cave entrance. Go near it, and it will lead you inside. Keep moving your way upwards and keep an eye on your right side. You will notice an alcove which has the Large Starine Fruit. Collect it and then head back to the three nests.
Turning In the Quest
Interact with the little nests the Celestis have set up. This will trigger a short cutscene and will reward you with a chest. The rewards are as follows:
- Glimmer: 80
- Credits: 2000
- Fame: 500
- Knowledge (EXP): 750
While finishing the quest, you will also be able to pick up smaller items along the way, which include items like Treasured Large Starine and some useful catching tools. These are nice early-game boosts that will make your playthrough a lot more refined and will prepare you for the challenges that lie ahead.
Important Tips You Shouldn’t Ignore
These tips are quite crucial when it comes to finishing the Forest of Falling Stars Side Quest in Aniimo and can save you some time as well. Here they are:
- The fruits don’t have to be collected in a required order and can be grabbed however you like.
- Bring a Celestis or a good glider/climber creature if you want to easily climb areas.
