Morphling’s Memories is a fun little activity that tests your knowledge of Aniimo (similar to the That’s Art Not Scribbles quest). If you think you know your Aniimo by their movements and looks, this activity is the one that you should take up. Here, your task is to find the fake Aniimo among the real ones; quickly, this minigame turns into a nice little detective game, where you find yourself observing all the other Aniimos and comparing everything to find the fake one.
Aniimo has 5 Morphling Memory Locations; each one offers the same game of finding the imposter Aniimo. I’ve listed out the locations, ways to spot the fake one, and rewards for completion. You are looking at a good 5 to 7 minutes to cover the entire quest in the game.
How To Spot The Fake Aniimo in Morphling’s Memory
The best way to spot the fake ones is by observing the behavioral patterns of all Aniimos and comparing the movements with each other. The fake ones tend to act normally without carrying any movement features of the real ones. If you see three Aniimos doing a backflip and one just stands in the same spot doing nothing, that will be our imposter. Press the ranged skill on the fake one to turn into a mask fragment. Like the Twine with Dewy objective, once you understand what is to be done, the quest ceases to be a problem.
We repeat this process five times on five different Aniimos in five separate locations – which are listed below.
Morphling’s Memory Location #1 | The Argent Strait

Make your way to the Argent Strait and head west of the region. Interact with the stone tablet to start Morphling’s Memory. Here we will find a bunch of Nimbi playing around in a grassy landscape. The fake Nimbi will sit idle on the leaf, without moving; that’s our imposter. Press Q or L1/ LB to perform the skill to capture the fake Aniimo to complete the first Morphling.
Rewards: Glimmer x25/ Morphling – Mask Frag x1/ Credits x10,000/ Growth Flower x4
Morphling’s Memory Location #2 | Echoback Landing

Head to the Echoback Landing to encounter the second Morphling Memory Location. As before, touch the stone tablet to start the encounter. The goal stays the same: here, find the fake Aniimo, Susuta, walking near the clam; press Q or L1/LB to perform the skill to get the mask fragment.
Note: Don’t hit the clam near Susuta. Use the ranged skill on Susuta when it’s walking, a bit far away from the purple clam.
Rewards: Glimmer x25/ Morphling – Mask Frag x1/ Credits x10,000/ Growth Flower x4
Morphling’s Memory Location #3 | Driftwise Meadow

Head a bit west of Driftwise Meadow, northeast of Mistwood, to get the third Morphling Memory Location. Interact with the stone tablet to get transported to the Morphling arena. Our task is to capture a fake Fentuft. You will spot a good number of Fentufts playing in the snow; you can guess the fake Fentuft will not be playing in the snow. That’s our imposter. You know what to do: use the Q or L1 or LB range skill on the fake Aniimo to get the mask fragment.
Rewards: Glimmer x25/ Morphling – Mask Frag x1/ Credits x10,000/ Growth Flower x4
Morphling’s Memory Location #4 | Tideblossom Coast

This Morphling Memory stone tablet will take us a bit north of Tideblossom Coast, right on the coast. Interact with the stone tablet to get teleported to the Morphling area. Here, our task is to capture a fake Bulbly; compared to all the other imposters in the list, this one is a bit easier. Bulblys tend to release a wave of golden electricity around them in a playful gesture; the fake Bulbly will not be glowing or releasing any kind of light waves around its location. It will be standing in the same spot, just like all the other fake ones. Perform the range skill to turn it into a mask fragment.
When you are in this region, you might also want to have a quick gander to the Lumin Marking puzzle a short distance from this place.
Rewards: Glimmer x25/ Morphling – Mask Frag x1/ Credits x10,000/ Growth Flower x4
Morphling’s Memory Location #5 | Zephyrus Landbridge

Head north of Zephyrus Landbridge and you will find the stone tablet for the last Morphling. Our task is to figure out the fake Pomegg; this one can be done easily, as the fake one wouldn’t know how to roll around. Out of all the Pomegg in the area, keep an eye out for the fake Pomegg that doesn’t roll around; instead, it just walks from one point to another. That’s our imposter; use the range skill to turn the last fake Aniimo into a Mask Fragment.
Rewards: Glimmer x25/ Morphling – Mask Frag x1/ Credits x10,000/ Growth Flower x4
This is not the only quest in Aniimo that will have you figuring out the right Aniimo. The Architecture and Models quest also has something similar – do bookmark our page on this in case you have not come across this quest yet.
