The Frozen Trail update has added new ARCs to the game, one of the toughest ARCs that is giving players all around the world a challenging experience is called Bully. Compared to Skulkers, Bully is a different breed of ARC; they are very aggressive, and they love nothing more than to get up close and personal. What makes them terrifying is their aggression and the lengths they will go to pursue your location.
In this guide, I will be showing you how to effectively deal with Bully Arcs by showcasing their defensive and offensive lineup, and combat tactics that will work against them. One thing is for sure: they will not go down easily, and if you are planning to take them one-on-one, you will need to play extremely well to take one of these down.
How To Defeat the Bully in ARC Raiders
You must exploit the weak spots to take down a Bully in ARC Raiders. Bully ARCs are like giant robotic dogs; they use their wide legs to cover the distance quickly to get as close to your location. They pose a medium threat, and you will have a rough time dealing with them, one-on-one and also with a team.
Bullies are found in the new Pendola Pass area in the Frozen Trail update. Unlike Skulkers, who blend well with the icy surroundings, Bullys, on the other hand, can be spotted wide in the open. Once you catch sight of one of them, don’t worry; it will not leave you alone. The time to track down an ARC to one spot is not a problem here, as Bullys are very relentless in pursuing the players. Here, I will go through all the defensive perks they have from the game and then go down all the offensive lineups.
Defensive Side
Bully ARCs are large and intimidating up close, so the best advice here is to maintain distance from them, no matter what. Let’s look at why dealing with Bully is a terrifying experience; they are known to
- Move Incredibly Fast
- Very Bulky
- Very Resilient
- Long Durability
On the defensive side, you have all the above-mentioned protection that makes Bully a terrifying creature in the wild. They are very resilient; exploiting the weak spot is the only way to deal a large amount of damage against them. Their exterior is strong, and being very bulky, they can sustain a great deal of damage. Now let’s take a look at the offensive side of the Bully ARC.
Offensive Side
The last thing you want to do when dealing with Bully is to get close, as these large creatures will have no problem blowing you away.
- Shrapnel Fire
- Cluster Grenade Droppings
Mix all the Bully’s protection perks with their offensive lineup of Shrapnel and Grenade Droppings, and you will have a fight of your life in ARC Raiders. You will have a somewhat easier time avoiding the damage from the grenades, but Shrapnel, on the other hand, is going to be a bit difficult to get around. Shrapnel fire acts as a shotgun blast, so any close combat tactic you have in your arsenal will not play out as intended. The other offensive option, Cluster Grenade Droppings, is also dangerous, as they get into pretty wide areas, since it releases a cluster of small grenades, where getting out of the way is the best solution here.
How to Eliminate Bully ARC?

The best course of action is to shoot down the knee joints on their legs; they are painted yellow, so you will spot them among the rest. These joints are their weak spots; since the Bully ARCs have four legs, we have four knee joints, each serving as a weak spot. The best tactic here is to keep your distance from the Bully and shoot them at their weak spots. If they are going after you, just run and seek shelter as quickly as possible; don’t ever try to get close or fight back in an open area.
Team-Based vs. Solo
If you are fighting against the Bully as a team, distraction becomes the best tactic to deal with them. Which also means somebody has to be the bait; once the Bully is focused on one teammate, the rest of them can be aggressive against the Bully until it’s completely destroyed to pieces. If the Bully is after you, just hide behind any cover or structure and let your team deal damage until the Bully targets another team member of your group.
One-on-one fights against the Bully will be more akin to a boss fight rather than a common enemy encounter. Here, you have no choice but to take cover and take a more conservative approach to combat than directly out in the open shooting at the enemy. If you are planning to solo the Bully, I highly recommend seeking shelter in enclosed areas. Carry out ranged shots from a safe distance. Another reason why enclosed areas are preferable is because of the walls and other obstacles that provide excellent cover, creating a healthy barrier between you, the player, and the enemy. These walls will do an excellent job protecting you from Bully’s offensive weapon fire and grenade drops.
Once you manage to take it down, you will get a special new item called “Bully Fragmenter“.
What is a Bully Fragmenter?

Bully Fragmenter is basically a grenade that releases a cluster of small grenades around a large radius in the area. While these grenades are effective, the best place to throw them will be in tight spaces, where enemies are basically trapped inside a small area. Save the Bully Fragmenter, and once you get into any combat scenario in small places, drop them and see them launch into small pieces all around the area and blow up everyone who is caught in the radius. These are the same grenades Bully throws at you, so you can tactically use the same weapon against them.
