The story of Silver Pines leads to three different conclusions, with varying requirements for the endings . A blind playthrough can easily unlock the basic ending, but the latter two require you to grab all the collectibles, including secret ones, and defeat a secret boss fight. All of this content is locked behind decisions and exploration.
If you want to truly complete the game and see everything it has to offer, you must unlock all three endings of the game. In this guide, I will offer everything you need to know to unlock all three endings (Leave, Live, and Rest) in Silver Pines.
All Endings in Silver Pines
| Endings | Requirements | Activate |
| Leave Complete the contract Kill Eddie Velvet | 0 Mementos Needed | Kill Eddie Velvet after defeating the final boss. (Trophy – “Ending: Leave“) |
| Live Burn it all | Burning 25 Mementos | Spare Eddie and Collect all 25 Mementos (Trophy – “Ending: Live“) |
| Rest Return to the Rabbit Hole | * Obtain Two Gold Rings * Obtain 5 Gold Stars * Defeat the Secret Boss | Spare Eddie, Collect Two Gold Rings, and Defeat the Secret Boss in an Alternative Reality. (Trophy – “Ending: Rest“) |
I’m going to start with the easiest ending to unlock in Silver Pines and work my way to the hardest one to find in the game.
Leave Ending

Requirement: None; you don’t have to collect any special equipment or mementos in the game.
This is the easiest ending to trigger; all you have to do is kill Eddie Velvet, and the game will push you towards the Leave ending without any side tasks.
Kill Eddie Velvet: After defeating the final boss in the game, you will get teleported into the forest, right next to the phone booth. Save your progress via the phone booth and pick up the memento on the ground near the phone booth before heading right. Keep moving to the right; you will see Eddie Velvet by the tree in the distance. Keep heading right, and you will find Eddie Velvet by the dead tree; interact to talk to him. After talking, you will be given options to: “Kill Eddie Velvet” or “Leave“. Choose “Kill Eddie Velvet” to complete the ending.
After ending Eddie’s life, you will then get teleported to outside the Miner Diner in Silver Pines Outskirts. Here, interact with the phone to start the last line of dialogue with the man on the phone. Once the conversation is completed, interact with the car next to the payphone, and choose the option “Leave Silver Pines” to trigger the final cutscene for the Leave Ending.
This ending is an inconclusive end to the game, where the player character, Red Walker, leaves the town without fixing anything. In the last line of dialogue, he hopes the paycheck will forget the memories of Silver Pines.
Live Ending

Requirement: Collection of 25 Mementos in the game.
Here we are going to do things a tad bit differently than the first Leave ending; we are going to spare Eddie Velvet and find and burn all 25 Mementos.
- Spare Eddie Velvet: After defeating the final boss, follow the same route as the Leave ending, and talk to Eddie Velvet by the tree. Talk to him, exhaust all the dialogue, but instead of killing him, choose the option “Leave“. Head east to get to Downtown, keep moving right, and take the ladder up, and you will find an NPC near the hood of the wrecked car. Talk to her, and then we can finally move to the second phase of the ending.
Note: Pick up the Polaroid Negative Memento after defeating the final boss in the game.
- Burn 25 Mementos: Now move to Silver Pines Outskirts, head west of Rodney’s General Store, as marked on the map above. Here, you will find a man washing his hands in the puddle; talk to him, and he will congratulate you for finding all 25 Mementos in the game. He will then ask you to let go of all the Mementos by burning all of them. After Red’s refusal, the man will finally push Red to do the right thing by burning all the Mementos.
- Now, head to the small shack located a bit east of the man in the puddle; inside, you will find a furnace and a black cat. Interact with the cat to pet it, and the cat will also scream out while burning the mementos. You know what to do; just interact with the furnace and burn down all 25 mementos to start the final scene.
Once you burn down all the mementos, you will find yourself underwater, triggering the Live Ending in the game.
Rest Ending
Requirement: You will need two Gold Rings/ 5 Gold Stars to unlock the Secret Boss encounter.
Compared to all the other ones, this one will take some time, so buckle up; we have some collectibles to obtain.

- Gold Ring #1: Defeat the final boss, talk to Eddie Velvet, and choose the option to Leave. Now turn right to get teleported back to the Downtown area. Here, head left and you will find Alice Baker’s floating body on the water. Upon inspection, you will find a Gold Ring on her right hand ring finger.
- Gold Ring #2: You will find it in the Locked Ring Box inside Miner Diner’s Restroom. It’s unfortunately locked; you will need to collect five Gold Stars to unlock it.
- Gold Star #1: Take a Shovel to the digging spot, west of Downtown, next to the RV parked a bit northwest of Mt. Siah Kopa, Sky Ride. Next to the RV, you will find a hole; drop down and use the shovel to dig out the first Gold Star.
- Gold Star #2: You will find the second star on a dying woman in the Mt. Siah Kopa area. When you are going to the top of the mountain, you will find a girl wearing a raincoat on a bench under a street lamp. As she lies down, you can grab the gold star from her.
- Gold Star #3: Talk to the dying man with a white cloth inside The Quiet Hour Café to find the third Gold Star.
- Gold Star #4: Head to Rabbit Hole Bar, and you will find it on one of the chairs in front of the stage.
- Gold Star #5: Head to the Crimson Bear Motel, north of Silver Pines Outskirts. Now open door number 3 by using the Motel Room Key. Inside the room, you will find a box with a keypad out front; type the code “6 – 6 – 7 – 1” to open the box and grab the fifth star.
Note: You will find the Motel Room key on the top of the Lighthouse. Once you have a sledgehammer, make your way back to the southeast of Silver Pines Outskirts; you will come across the Lighthouse. Break the front door of the Lighthouse with the sledgehammer, and make your way to the top to find the Motel Room Key. The key will open the locked door with the number 3 in the Crimson Bear Motel.
Now head to the restroom of Miner Diner, pick up the Locked Ring Box on the faucet, next to the mirror. Combine all five Stars, one at a time, with the Locked Ring Box in your inventory to open it. Unfortunately, we can’t do the combining all at once; it has to be done one by one. Once you have combined all 5 Gold Stars with the Locked Ring Box, the box will open, rewarding you with the second Gold Ring.
After collecting both Gold Rings, head on over to Rabbit Hole Bar, turn right, and go through the door. Now start moving left until you are in a room with red curtains on both sides of the room and a strange wall in the middle. Interact with the wall, and you will find two spots for Ring Indents backstage; insert both rings to get teleported to a hellish version of Rabbit Hole Bar.
Once you wake up, talk to the woman in red, standing near your spot. After talking to her, talk to the Bartender, now head right, and you will be at the preparation room before dealing with the secret boss fight. In this room. you will find plenty of items; pick them up to help out against the boss. Then start moving to the right, talk to the third and final NPC to begin the boss encounter.
Boss Fight First Phase

The Boss sequence will begin with a chase encounter, as the boss starts ramming its way to your spot; just keep moving to the right. On your way, you will find plenty of trouble obstacles; you must know how to deal with them, or you will get caught.
- Hanging Meat: Dodge the meat, or it will slow down your pace. Press Space to dodge the hanging bulk of meat sacks on your way.
- Floating Monster: In a room filled with chairs, you will see a giant floating monster slowly descending to your location. You can tell it’s about to blow; dodge the explosion, or you will be caught in it.
- Barricaded Door: Lastly, you will come across a Barricaded Door; use the sledgehammer to break it. The sledgehammer works on anything. Right at the end of the chase, you will find a door locked with a padlock; just break the door with the hammer to open it.
After going through all the obstacles, you will reach a dead end, where you have no choice but to engage with the boss. There is a small chase scene that will take place during the actual boss fight, where the floor breaks and you land in a different area. Here you will deal with small enemies on the way, again perform a dodge to get past them to the end to continue the boss fight.
Boss Fight Final Phase

- Pointy Nose: A spear-like object will pop out of its face towards your location. Duck to avoid taking any damage from it. Before the spear-like object spawns, you will see the boss forming a small spear for 2 seconds; use that as an indicator to duck at the right time.
- Falling Debris: The boss will make the debris drop from the ceiling; before the actual debris falls on the ground, some dust will fall beforehand. Use the dust as an indicator to perform a perfect dodge to avoid taking damage.
- Poison Damage: Avoid standing on the poison projectile the boss will spit out in the area.
- Claw Swipes: Don’t get too close to the boss, or it will start using claw swipes to damage you.
Always attack right after the boss finishes its attack animation; don’t be too greedy with your attacks. Move after landing a few strikes, whether with your gun or melee weapon. After you kill the boss, the final cutscene for the Rest ending will begin.
