Konami Code has long been one of the unique gameplay mechanics to appear in the video game industry. Recently, we saw Hollow Knight: Silksong using its version of the Konami Code to unlock Steel Soul difficulty. In Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, the legacy of the Konami Code continues, as we have secrets in the game that require a combination of button presses to unlock, and get rewards in the process.
The Sonia Belmont’s Alternative Skin in the game is locked behind a Konami Code. In this guide, I will show where and how to press the Konami Code to unlock Sonia Belmont Secret Skin in Castlevania Belmont’s Curse.
Sonia Belmont’s Skin in Castlevania Belmont’s Curse
You must use 10 button presses in a row to unlock Sonia Belmont’s Skin almost anywhere in the game. The game doesn’t trap you to a specific location; as soon as you boot into the game, you can press the button right away and unlock the skin. Here is a short table featuring the 10-button press combo for each console:
| Console | Button Presses |
| Xbox | Up > Up > Down > Down > Left > Right > Left > Right > A > B |
| PlayStation | Up > Up > Down > Down > Left > Right > Left > Right > X > O |
| Nintendo Switch | Up > Up > Down > Down > Left > Right > Left > Right > B > A |
Note: You can press the Konami Code in the demo version, but nothing will unlock.
After pressing the Konami Code without any mess-ups, the message will pop up in the game alerting you about the skin unlock.
All Sonia Skins
There are currently 6 skins available for Sonia in Castlevania Belmont’s Curse. You can change the skin by heading to the Main Menu > System > Character Skin. You will have two options here: the default costume and the skin we just unlocked by pressing the Konami Code.
| Outfit/ Skins | Way to Unlock |
| Rose’s Outfit/Skina (In-Game) | Default |
| Sonia Style Outfit/Skin (In-Game) | Konami Code |
| Cursed’s Outfit/Skin (In-Game) | Trigger the Bed Ending of the game |
| Trevor Style Outfit/Skin (DLC) | Buying the Midnight Edition of Castlevania Belmont’s Curse. |
| Sypha Style Outfit/ Skin (DLC) | Buying the Midnight Edition of Castlevania Belmont’s Curse. |
| Alucard Inspired Outfit/Skin (DLC) | This skin is part of the Pre-Order Bonus |
Sonia’s first outfit is inspired by the greatest vampire hunters; the second outfit that we will unlock will be tied to her Belmont’s heritage as a vampire hunter. Besides the default outfit and the outfit we just unlocked via Konami Code, the rest of the outfits for Sonia can be earned by hitting the bad ending in the game, or buying Midnight Edition and the pre-order bonus.
