As you keep exploring Phantom Blade Zero, the path will get tougher and more challenging if you aren’t geared up enough. To help you win fights against the tougher enemies along the way, you need to find items that will help you out. The Kuye Temple Prayer Beads are an excellent choice when it comes to adding a few extra hands in battle.
Obtaining the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads requires you to fight a particular boss, and it doesn’t help that the boss himself is unapproachable right from the start. Here are the details that will explain where you need to go to collect the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads, how to beat the boss that owns it, and what this item does in Phantom Blade Zero.
How to Get the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads

The Kuye Temple Prayer Beads in Phantom Blade Zero are a boss drop from defeating Master Bi Hai at the Village of Lu’s Smuggler’s Treasure Cellar. You will reach this location as part of the main story quests, especially if you are completing Chapter 5 – Heartless Remnant.
The nearest bell that will help you get to this location is the Smuggler’s Tunnel Entrance Bell. I recommend resting here before moving forward, as you will immediately be at the boss arena after this.
Stage 1

The Master Bi Hai boss fight itself might be a bit challenging in higher levels, as instead of fighting the boss head-on, you will be dealing with the three monks first. You can’t attack the boss before defeating the monks, as the boss will be encapsulated in an unbreakable bell.
These monk enemies are quite difficult to beat using regular weapons, as they will have their Guard shield up at all times. The best way I found to tackle them is to deal Guard damage using high Guard Break weapons. The Dread Axe was my personal pick for this, but any other weapon that can break the enemy’s guard will help here.
Stage 2
After dealing with the three monks, Master Bi Hai will be free to land a few hits on him. Once his HP is down to half, he will summon three Fist Bronze Men to join the fight. Again, use guard-breaking attacks to wear them down and deal damage. Since these enemies love to deal close combat damage, you could find yourself cornered. Keep moving around and dodging attacks to avoid this.
Stage 3
Once the three bronze men are down, you can continue dealing damage to Master Bi Hai. You should look out for the red glint that will occasionally emit from his eye, as he will soon unleash a roar that could cause a bit of damage. Continue to wear him down until he summons the final set of enemies.
Rinse and repeat the above steps until you can fight the boss one last time and defeat him. You will automatically gain the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads upon his defeat.
How to Use the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads

The Kuye Temple Prayer Beads in Phantom Blade Zero is a unique accessory that classifies itself as a summoning Phantom Edge. It costs 2 Remnant Sparks to use when equipped. The Kuye Temple Prayer Beads offer different abilities when used.
- Active ability: The beads will summon several Bronze Men to fight alongside you in combat. This effect lasts 15 seconds, and each summoned Bronze Man will have 1236 HP and 22 ATK. Can’t be stacked.
- Golden Body: Bronze Men can become immune to damage using the Golden Body technique.
- Backlash: While in Golden Body, if they are attacked, the enemy will lose Sha-Chi.
- Enduring Presence Level 1, 2, and 3: Increases Summon duration.
- Bronze Formation: If all 3 bronze men are on the battlefield at the same time, they will automatically form a battle formation.
The Kuye Temple Prayer Beads can be Soul Tempered through Myst, and this feature is available after reaching Pengzhen in Chapter 4. This will upgrade the accessory’s Active ability and transform the Bronze Men into various advanced tiers, like Fist Gold, Staff Gold, and Blade Gold Men.
Besides this, you can upgrade and improve the Kuye Tempe Prayer Beads at the blacksmith using the required materials or reforge them to collect their material drops if required.
