Getting to the Fire Temple won’t be an easy journey in Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake. You must complete the necessary steps beforehand to get the right clothing and find the hidden route to the temple. Since the place is called Fire Temple, wearing the common outfit will not help withstand the heat in the temple; here, we need to get a special new outfit to deal with the Fire Temple’s heat and talk to a specific NPC to reveal the route to the temple.
In this guide, I will walk you through all the steps you must follow to get inside the Fire Temple in Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake. I will also show the route to get the Goron Tunic clothing to help you protect from the heat in the Fire Temple.
Where to Find the Fire Temple in Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake?
The route to the Fire Temple is inside the Death Mountain Crater, which you can access from Goron City. In the city, you will find a friendly Goron who will help you reveal the route to the temple and give you a brand-new outfit, the Goron Tunic. The heat from the Fire Temple is no joke, Goron Tunic is a clothing that will help Link to get heat resistance.
Goron Tunic Location
Head to the “Death Mountain Trail“, then take the way to Goron City. Once in the city, you will notice the entire arena is built as rolling race tracks. Here, you will find our rolling Goron spinning around the tracks. The only way to get the Goron Tunic is by talking to the rolling Goron. Since it’s rolling down the tracks, talking to him will be difficult. Just ready a bomb and place it on the floor to stop the Goron on the tracks. Once the bomb explodes, the rolling Goron will get stun-locked; now you will be able to interact with the Goron.
Don’t worry, we don’t have to catch any runaway Cucco Chickens to get the Goron Tunic. Just talk to the Goron, exhaust all the dialogue, and choose to help him out to get the “Goron Tunic.” Once obtained, head to the Equipment menu and change the default clothing to the Goron Tunic. Now we are looking sleek and ready to deal with the heat from the temple with our fashion choice. After giving away the Goron Tunic, the friendly Goron will also open up new doors in the area by lifting up the stone gate.
Head inside the room with the stone statue, north of the Goron City, and pull the statue from the wall to reveal the hidden route behind it. Heading down the route leads to the Death Mountain Crater.
This area sits in the middle of Fire Temple and Goron City. Near the entrance, turn left; use the Hookshot to reach the bridge on the left. A bit of walking and you will trigger a cutscene with Sheik. Once the scene is over, turn left and climb the stairs to reach the Fire Temple.
