Few themes and cliches are as prevalent in anime as the focus on power-scaling, despite the fact that many of them do. Many of the most well-known anime protagonists and supporting characters have superhuman talents that help them combat the evil forces they face in their own series.
Ninjas, aliens, robbers, killers, super heroes, and additional characters with amazing movement are common in shonen anime. Some characters are undoubtedly faster than others, even though the show itself is frequently hazy on how these powers function. Here are just a few of the quickest characters from shonen anime.
Koro-sensei and 10 other swiftest characters in anime
11. Shinra Kusakabe from Fire Force
Today's shark-toothed character is Shinra Kusakabe from Fire Force! 🦈 pic.twitter.com/ttqG9MqvxF
— shark tooth of the whenever 🦈 ! (@sharkteethdaily) June 3, 2021
The main character of Fire Force, Shinra Kusakabe, moves at breakneck speed in combat thanks to his mastery of pyrokinesis (the ability to control fire with the mind). He is the Fire Force member who moves the fastest, and he exploits this speed to compensate for his lack of raw strength. Shinra is an essential component of the Fire Force squad and a devastating force on the playing field thanks to his speed, agility, and strong pyrokinetic skills. Fans are eager to watch how this prospective character’s abilities will advance over time.
10. Killua Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter

In Hunter X Hunter, Killua Zoldyck’s Godspeed, which enables him to outpace his physical limits and move quickly, is one of the most amazing Nen powers. A mix of Whirlwind and Speed of Lightning, Godspeed has two different effects. Killua’s Godspeed, despite being called the Speed of Lightning, does not truly allow him to move at the speed of light. He can still move at speeds of hundreds or even thousands of miles an hour. Killua, who is just 12 years old, is poised to develop into one of the characters with the greatest speed in the vast Hunter x Hunter universe.
9. Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia

Deku, also known as Izuku Midoriya, is incredibly quick and agile, especially when he summons One For All. His ability to move at blindingly quick rates gives him the ability to effortlessly close the gap between him and his opponents while dodging blows. He can also store kinetic energy using his newly developed Quirk, Fa Jin, and then release it later to increase his speed even further. He moves so swiftly that anyone seeing him see a blur when he uses this Quirk in conjunction with One For All at its highest level. Later on, it even allows him to outpace All Might’s speed.
8. Minato Namikaze from Naruto
Congrats to Naruto for being the only Anime series to have Minato Namikaze ⚡️ pic.twitter.com/NoBEEv9Ocr
— Naruto (@NarutoVibe) July 26, 2023
The speed of Minato Namikaze, often known as Konoha’s Yellow Flash, is unmatched. Minato is a master of space-time ninjutsu, and he has surpassed even the fabled Tailed Beasts in speed. Due to his usage of the nearly unbeatable Body Flicker Technique, that allows him to move at undetectable speeds, Minato is recognised as the quickest shinobi of his time. Minato is a menace to even god-like shinobi because of his lightning-quick movements during battle, which give the impression that he is teleporting or moving instantly.
7. Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom

The students in Class 3-E are given the assignment of killing their instructor, Koro-Sensei, in Assassination Classroom. It’s safe to conclude that Koro-Sensei is a bizarre, octopus-like creature who vowed to destroy the planet shortly after destroying 70% of the Moon. Koro-Sensei, a creature created by human experimentation, resembles an octopus and has a variety of special powers, such as the capacity for regeneration, resistance to poison, and superhuman speed. Koro-Sensei is so strong because of his ability to travel at speeds of up to Mach 20.
6. Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach
THIS SCENE IS SO CRAZY ICHIBE WAS REALLY TRYNA TURN ICHIGO INTO THE SOUL KING…. #BLEACH #BLEACH_anime pic.twitter.com/gLeUKdRyEF

Bleach’s Ichigo Kurosaki, an iconic shonen character in each manner, mastered Shunpo, a skill that enables its bearer to move more quickly than the human eye can keep up. Ichigo is truly terrifying in fight thanks to all of the changes he goes through during the series, which make him stronger and more agile. Only extremely powerful or dumb characters dare to engage him in combat because he is an expert at landing strikes and avoiding those of the opponent. Fans are eagerly anticipating the next season of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War to witness the full scope of his abilities with his new dual-blade Shikai!
5. Lumiere Clover from Black Clove

The majority of Black Clover is set in the charming Clover Kingdom, which has been gifted with magic. Since everyone who lives there is born with some type of magic, many of them set out on a journey to become a future Wizard King. This position was held by a formidable wizard by the name of Lumiere Clover five centuries prior to the series’ events, and it was during his leadership that the kingdom entered a new era marked by Light Magic.
Lumiere, a Light Magic user, eventually developed his latent abilities and attained the capacity for travelling at the speed of light. Lumiere, one of the quickest characters in anime history, was able to defend the Clover Kingdom against not just one, but two different Devils because of his speed.
4. Acnologia from Fairy Tail
Fairy Tail‘s power structure is generally based on magic, but its most powerful characters derive their skills from a more particular source: dragons. The deranged dragon slayer Acnologia, who bathed in the blood of innumerable dragons while fighting, can attest to the fact that this is the case. Acnologia decides he must get rid of every Dragon there is, and from all accounts, he succeeds in his mission. He must use great speed to accomplish this, enabling him to kill strong opponents such as God Serena before they could react.
3. Admiral Kizaru from One Piece
Kizaru really offered to fight Big mom and Kaido, he’s about to be the biggest menace on egghead😭#ONEPIECE #ONEPIECE1089 pic.twitter.com/GNuLByVPkr

The Marine Admirals are among the most powerful people in the One Piece universe. It makes sense that one of the series’ quickest characters would be seated among these individuals as they represent the authority of the World Government. Borsalino, also known as Admiral Kizaru, uses the Glint-Glint Fruit, a Devil Fruit similar to the Logia that enables him to change into light itself. When Kizaru uses his Glint-Glint Fruit, he transforms into a nearly unbeatable foe, able to manifest and command powerful, highly charged light beams. Aside from that, he is able to avoid even the swiftest enemy strikes because of his near-lightspeed movements.
2. Azusa from I’ve been Killing Slimes for 300 years…

Azusa is a Highlands Witch who developed god-level supernatural power over the course of three centuries by slaying slime. There are many strong characters in I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years…, but Azusa just outruns them all in terms of speed. Azusa may utilise her witchcraft to give herself teleportation, flying, and invisibility as well as to being immortal and having superhuman strength, agility, and durability. She can essentially be everywhere at any time, and a variety of additional magical skills ensure that she will be able to complete her mission when she gets there.
1. Saitama from One Punch Man
6. Saitama from One Punch Man: The bald and bored superhero who can defeat any enemy with one punch. He has hilarious expressions, deadpan humor, and overpowered strength. He also subverts many tropes and expectations of the superhero genre. pic.twitter.com/25y2Wzn9RS
— ShowCrumbs (@showcrumbs) July 27, 2023
In the popular parody manga One-Punch Man, Saitama’s unfathomable power and speed are the foundation of his persona. Even when he pulls back, his speed overpowers all but the toughest opponents because he is so strong that he cannot find a good opponent. Saitama was launched to the Moon during his battle with the intergalactic fighter Boros and back to the planet Earth in what is said to have taken him 1.5 seconds. Saitama’s speed clearly exceeds that of typical anime characters even at the peak of his might.
