The distinction between science fiction and the world of fantasy is blurred by the special place that alchemy holds between science and magic. Alchemy in the real, mediaeval era was not as cool as it was presented in this series. It was frequently compared to chemistry at an embryonic stage before it had come to pass in the contemporary age. If you are looking for a mixture of intellect and heart, this is the perfect go-to for your boys’ night.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood actually has a touching narrative as it is an anime series that explores the effects of overreaching, despite the spectacular fights, gorgeous visuals, and fantastic powers and creatures. In an effort to preserve themselves, find their missing body parts, and comprehend the terrifying reality of their universe, Edward and Alphonso go on a journey that will pit them against the gods of their planet. This is a fantastic entry point because it offers a fictionalised historical perspective on the crusades without being exclusively Japanese or sensitive to Oriental culture.
2. Blue Lock
So @POTUSThump has told me like 3 times in the last month that he LOVED the "Blue Lock" anime, and honestly…that stuff isn't my cup of tea. Regardless…I checked it out…
I'm on episode 5…

If your gang has soccer-lovers, then look no further. While the superior tactics and gameplay can attract the greatest of soccer fans, even non-watchers of the sport will find fun in the strong story and characters. The Japanese Football Association decides to employ the mysterious and eccentric mastermind coach “four-eyes” Jinpachi Ego to help them accomplish their dream of winning the World Cup after assessing the current situation of Japanese football.
Jinpachi creates the Blue Lock, a special arena where only the top 300 skilled strikers from Japanese high schools are separated before competing against one another. According to Jinpachi, Japan is lacking an egotistical striker who is motivated by scoring goals. The striker that will be the ace for the national squad will be decided by Blue Lock, and the loser will be permanently expelled from the group. Yoichi, the underdog and dream-crushed, hopes to assuage his concerns and somehow work towards his final, ultimate dream of becoming the best striker in the world and guiding Japan to the World Cup win with this amazing opportunity provided by the Blue Lock Project.

Eighty percent of the world’s population has special abilities, or “quirks,” which have enabled many people to live out their childhood dreams of becoming superheroes. Unfortunately, Izuku Midoriya was one of the few people that had been the unfortunate ones to be born without a peculiarity and as a result, she had to deal with discrimination. Izuku, however, is very adamant about seeking the famed UA High hero training academy, a seemingly impossible objective.
However, everything changes after a chance encounter with the one-and-only All Might, the greatest hero and Izuku’s idol. After understanding that his dream is not a dead end, the helpless child joins in specialist instruction while putting up more effort somehow than ever before. He ultimately acquires the power of All Might as a result of this. If you have friends interested in comics and Western superheroes, then this anime series will be easiest to get into for boys night.

This anime series is well-plunged into Japanese culture, but that will not affect your enjoyment of it during boys night. Tanjiro Kamado and his impoverished family live on a lonesome mountain. Because he was revealed the oldest child, he took on the responsibility of supporting his family after his father went away. On a freezing winter day, he makes his way to the local village to sell some objects and charcoal.
Tanjiro’s greatest fear is realised when he finally returns home. His entire family has been ruthlessly slain, with the exception of his sister Nezuko, somehow, who has transformed into a flesh-eating demon. In an effort to stop Nezuko from hurting others, Tanjiro sets out on a quest to wreak revenge on his family and find a way to turn his beloved sister back into a human.

The terrible “Titans,” monsters that resembled humans and first appeared hundreds of years ago, and had continually proved to be an existential threat as they preyed on any human they could find to satisfy their seemingly insatiable desire. As a result of their inability to defeat the Titans, humanity was forced to fortify through giant walls, what may have been their final haven on Earth by erecting enormous walls around it.
Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and Eren Yeager are three young children in the present who have grown up hearing stories about the wonders right outside the walls, such that they are stuck in a limbo between life and death, and dream of experiencing everything beyond the walls that the world has to offer. The surprise arrival of a massive 60-metre Titan, however, swiftly plunges them into a geopolitical thriller, revealing more secrets as it seems. As one of the anime series that broke the Western media, it is definitely something to watch with your friends on boys’ night if they have not already seen it

A ninja from Iwagakure Village named Gabimaru the Hollow, who is currently on death row, was set up traitorously by other ninja and is revealed to be cold and soulless. He wants to die because he is worn out from murdering and betraying others. Despite Gabimaru’s appearance of indifference, he is impervious to all types of death ever since he has a compelling motive to live. He wants to go back to his wife because it was her that caused him to lose control and stop being a successful assassin. He is therefore opposed to death.
This is seen by renowned executioner Sagiri Yamada Asaemon, who develops a strategy for the ninja. Together with other Asaemons tasked with keeping an eye on hazardous death row inmates, Gabimaru requests a full pardon from the Shogunate in exchange for her involvement in a search for the elixir containing the essence of life on the island of Shinsenkyo. This island is however, not just any island because it is supposedly Paradise filled with a host of dangers. As one of the newest anime series to gain traction, it is something short, sweet and just the right amount of horrifying to captivate your gang on boys night.

Everybody who enjoys anime should watch Death Note, which is a solid first series and is likely to become legendary. The show effectively builds up a fascinating chess match between two amazingly clever characters very early on in Death Note, which has a gripping conflict. The result is a highly addictive series that is also incredibly accessible to those who are unfamiliar with Japanese culture, making it the perfect entry point.
L and Light’s connection is intriguing and never even loses its attraction. Light’s transformation from a self-assured academic to a deranged, virtue signaling narcissist is both tragic and fascinating. This drama belongs in a Greek theatre.
8. Dr. Stone
