Top 10 Female Characters From My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia has a huge cast of female characters ranging from pro-heroes to students to villains. Of course, the series does suffer from regular bouts of the shonen syndrome, aka the characteristics of the genre to sideline female characters to relatively unimportant roles.

However, while My Hero Academia does regularly tend to veer off into the realm of depicting these women/girls as side characters in the grand narrative, some receive the better end of the fictional stick over others. Many characters even get their chance to shine, and there are clear favourites among these fictional figures as far as the fandom is concerned.

With that in mind, let’s rank the top 10 women of My Hero Academia according to the powers they display, while including their massive potential that might have yet gone unexplored.

From Tsuyu Asui to Stars and Stripes: Here are 10 strongest female characters in My Hero Academia

10. Tsuyu Asui

Asui’s peculiarity enables her to essentially do anything a frog can, but it also gives her a frog’s disadvantages. This high-jumping, tongue-spitting hero in training is a well-rounded, balanced hero with a pure heart. Compared to the other heroes on this list, she has had a lot of screen time, but fans barely know anything about her!

Although she is a tremendous asset to any squad, providing emotional support and being incredibly adaptive to any circumstance, she has been given more supporting responsibilities in recent chapters. It’s unfortunate since her extremely prehensile tongue could have done a lot to stop the enemy’s forces.

9. Itsuka Kendo

This heavy-hitting hero in training with an underrated but intellegently used ability to grow her fists makes when she strikes! Even though she only had a few minutes to shine in the anime, this gifted heroine has often shown her value, even besting the highly competent Momo Yaoyorozu from class 1A. My Hero Academia fans can’t wait to witness her in action on the pitch.

Being a female character and a member of the underrepresented Class 1B, it is unfortunate that she has had so little screen time. One can only hope to see more of her, considering she and Tetsutetsu were the only two 1B students to defeat a villain in Season 3.

8. Momo Yaorozou

Going by the name “Yaomomo” among her peers, Momo is the class vice president and entered UA by recommendations rather than the entrance exam that most students must take. She is a very hard-working student who frequently serves as the class’s keeper of order in an effort to develop her leadership skills and also has a high IQ.

Momo has the ability to continually recreate whatever object she can envision using her quirk, Create. Her only restrictions are her stamina, how much she’s eaten, and her understanding of the object. Momo could become a strong fighter at any range if she keeps honing her peculiarity and hand-to-hand skills, but what sets her back till now is her lack of screen-time and lack of feats.

7. Ochaco Uraraka

Ochaco is a classmate of the main character, Izuku Midoriya, at U.A. Highschool and a major character of the Hero Course (Class 1-A). She strives hard to become a pro-hero in an effort to help her family financially. She is incredibly kind and loving to everyone she encounters. In order to become a hero, she continually makes an effort to gain new powers and skills.

She had even succeeded in earning Bakugo’s admiration for her abilities while demonstrating her devotion to Deku. Uraraka can effortlessly lift objects that are several times her size because to her quirk, Gravity. Although we haven’t yet seen the full extent of Uraraka’s abilities on screen, she has improved as a fighter and martial artist thanks to her training with the professional hero Gunhead.

6. Nejire Hado

Nejire is a third-year student in the Hero Course (3-A) at the University of Arizona and one of the star students known as “The Big 3” with Tamaki Amajiki (Suneater) and Mirio Togata (LeMillion). Despite her outstanding talent and skills, Nejire has always been willing to assist her underclassmen although less is known about her and her powers on screen when compared to her peers Mirio and Tamaki.

Nejire is acknowledged as being more powerful than most professional heroes due to her mastery of her Quirk, Wave Motion. Through the use of Wave Motion, Nejire was able to strengthen her waves and extend their range, giving her the capability to defend herself, fly, and battle several foes at once.

5. Himiko Toga

Lacking most My Hero Academia villains’ tragic backstories, Himiko Toga killed a fellow student out of an incredibly misplaced notion of “love,”. Her family and society shunned her, and she was treated with contempt and hatred. After falling in love with the Hero Killer Stain, Toga eventually sought out the League of Villains.

Despite the fact that she must gather her target’s blood in order to change due to her Quirk, her dexterity and knife-handling skills have made several heroes and students with considerably stronger quirks more vulnerable. Once she has the blood, her acting skills enable her to sneak into enemy camps with ease, turning her into a lethal assassin, especially after she imbibed Twice’s quirk. However, there is hope for her if the themes of the story are realized in Uraraka saving her from her fate.

4. Ryukyu

The hero who is now ranked number 10 transforms into a terrible dragon that can soar and destroy huge structures using her Dragon Quirk. While Ryukyu is driven to save people, she also has a sensitive side and has said that, given the choice, she would have declined to be ranked number 10 because of her failure to save even one life.

The fact that she can change into a dragon is significantly underappreciated because we have never seen the full scope of her abilities. In contrast to even lower rated heroes like Fat Gum, Ryukyu was reduced to fighting fodder throughout the battle against Overhaul’s minions, and most of her skills were displayed off-screen. One can hope to see more of dragon-lady while making every effort to defeat All for One.

3. Lady Nagant

Former professional hero Lady Nagant lost faith in her “hero” status after the Hero Public Safety Commission (HPSC) employed her as an assassin. She was imprisoned in Tartarus until All for One freed her so she could continue her search for heroes after killing the HPSC Chief in a flashback that demonstrates her character is one who deserves to have her own show.

Lady Nagant’s Quirk “Gun” enables her to manipulate her hair to create rounds and change her arm into a sizable gun. She came close to defeating Deku when All For One granted her the power Air Walk, allowing her to get a foothold anywhere. Her redemption story has been portrayed in recent chapters, so here’s hoping she gets more screen time.

2. Mirko

The fifth-ranked professional hero, Mirko the Rabbit Hero, is well-known for her aggressive demeanour. As he believes that working in teams forces heroes to rely more on the strength of others than their own, Mirko typically works alone and valiantly confronts crime and criminals on his own. Her battle against the baddies, when she refused to give up despite being outnumbered and hurt, demonstrated her abilities and unwavering drive.

Mirko’s Quirk Rabbit gave her extraordinary strength, which enhanced her jumping and kicking skills and gave her overwhelming speed. Her dedicated martial arts training helped her make a speedy and inspiring comeback into hero society with her prosthetic limbs after suffering multiple limb losses in the Hero-Villain War.

1. Stars and Stripes

Star and Stripe, the name of Cathleen Bate, who was ranked as the No. 1 American Hero, was significantly influenced by the design of the American Flag. Her interest and admiration for All Might, who served as a professional hero in America when she was a small child, served as her inspiration to become a hero.

Star and Stripe were believed to have strength comparable to All Might’s, thus Cathleen was called to Japan to take on Shigaraki in lieu of the now-retired All Might. She could impose laws on any substance and manipulate it as she pleased with her Quirk New Order as long as she touched it. She developed superhuman skills and turned the world around her into a weapon by applying one of those laws to herself. Her fate is tragic in the manga, as readers know although the fight she engaged Shigaraki at the height of his and All for One’s power has been epic, in that no one else could stall the endgame villain and the greatest antagonist of all time in the My Hero Academia world.
