NPCs in Fortnite often contribute significantly to the meta. In Chapter 4 Season 2, there are a lot of ways you can capitalize on NPCs around the map to secure the elusive Victory Royale. From impressive weaponry and consumables to recruitment services, they provide it all as long as you have Gold Bars to spend or the firepower to win in a fight.
The following 8 NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will come through for you, every single time.
1) Mizuki
Found roaming northeast of The Citadel at the Eastern Watch landmark, Empress Mizuki is one of the best NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Not only does she sell two Chug Splashes for 96 Gold Bars, but she also bestows the powerful Kinetic Blade upon players for just 250 Gold Bars.
Chug Splashes happen to be one of the most effective heals in Fortnite because they can restore health or shield instantly. The Kinetic Blade, on the other hand, has emerged as a fan-favorite in Chapter 4 Season 2. It is an excellent mobility item and can be used for swift melee attacks.
2) Evie
Featured in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass, Evie can be found on the southern side of Knotty Nets this season. You will typically run into her inside the building there. Evie sells an Epic Tactical Pistol for 100 Bars and can activate rifts that teleport players for just 250 Bars. With Chapter 4 Season 2 not having many mobility items, rifts can prove useful for rotating around the map and taking the high ground.
On the other hand, the Tactical Pistol, a fully automatic pistol with an impressive fire rate and a tight spread, is widely regarded as one of the best weapons in Chapter 4.
3) Longshot
Longshot usually strolls around in the tower at Royal Ruin, a landmark located west of The Citadel. Interacting with him is well worth your time for two reasons. He can reveal the future storm circle for 175 Gold Bars, and players who rely on positioning to get strategic kills will no doubt find this information useful.
As a Scout Specialist, Longshot can also be hired for 250 Bars, which is a major advantage if you are determined to get a Victory Royale. Having an extra member on the team to mark enemies with their sniper and ping both enemies and loot will serve you well.
4) CRZ-8
Found in the Bamboo Circle landmark northwest of Mega City, CRZ-8 will prove to be a valuable NPC if you defeat him in a duel. Hence, it is important that you secure a weapon before interacting with him. As the winner of the duel, you will receive a Kinetic Blade and a Tactical Pistol – a deadly duo in Chapter 4 Season 2 – without spending any Gold Bars. CRZ-8 also sells a Holo-Chest key for 100 Bars that will let you upgrade your weapons, but make sure you complete the transaction before undertaking the duel.
5) Sludge
There are multiple reasons why you should land near Sludge and make him your companion. Found in Steamy Springs, Sludge was recently added to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 as a Heavy Specialist. Designed to be a tank with strong weaponry, Sludge throws grenades during combat to put your opponents at a disadvantage. Additionally, he sells a Havoc Shotgun, which is unanimously agreed upon as the best shotgun this season.
6) Highcard
Although not an NPC in the traditional sense of the word, Highcard is worth his weight in gold. He is a Boss in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 who simultaneously spawns in Mega City, Brutal Bastion, and Shattered Slabs with his henchmen after the formation of the second Storm circle. You have to knock him to get your hands on Highcard’s Mythic Havoc Suppressed Rifle and the Vault Keycard. The latter will grant you incredible loot for the match as you will be able to access high-rarity weapons and all kinds of heals.
7) Garrison
Garrison can be found in Watery Watch, which is the peninsula located to the west of Frenzy Fields. You can purchase an Epic Maven Auto Shotgun from him for just 250 Gold Bars. The Maven is arguably the second-best shotgun in its meta, fully-automatic and able to deal damage even at medium range. You also have the option to hire Garrison, a Supply Specialist, for 250 Gold Bars, who will then supply you with ammunition and material as you need. Hiring an NPC is an especially effective strategy if you are playing solo matches because few expect you to have a backup.
8) Stray
Stray resides inside a building located in the northwest of Mega City, near the helipad. You should head over to him and purchase the Epic Heavy Sniper Rifle for 250 Gold Bars if you love surprising your opponents with perfectly aligned headshots. The tall buildings in Mega City make the pursuit especially rewarding. He also sells Shield Fish for 145 Gold Bars each, which are excellent for healing instantly later in the game.
