Kevin Afghani Is The Voice Actor For Arnold In Genshin Impact
Ask-Me-For-Directions Arnold, or simply Arnold, is the character voiced by Kevin Afghani in Genshin Impact. However, this character is no longer in the game as it was a part of the limited-time events during Genshin Impact 2.8 Summertime Odyssey.
Arnold was a statue of a night raven that appeared in the story quest events of Summertime Odyssey: IV – Immernachtrich Apokalypse and also in another event which is a world quest called Drama Phantasmagoria: Tale of the Sword-Wielding Princess!
During the time (2020), he was still doing short roles at this point in his career which explains Kevin Afghani’s short stint in Genshin Impact and why he only voices a limited-time event character with not that many voice lines. Just a year or two before this role, he was also the voice actor for Raditz in the Dragon Ball R&R TV series.
His other notable roles include his role for Spike in Anime Penguin: Red Snow along with some general character voice lines in the game feared by video game journalists: Cuphead.
What Was Ask-Me-For-Directions Arnold’s Purpose In Genshin Impact?
The purpose of the Kevin Afghani-voiced Genshin Impact character Ask-Me-For-Directions Arnold was exactly what his name suggests — to give out directions to the Traveler and their party. But the directions were specifically for the location of the second and third volumes of Hymn of the Holy Land.
Arnold could be found in the Golden Apple Archipelago back when the area was explorable during the event. When Arnold first sees Mona, he lands a serious crush on her which makes it easy for the Traveller to get the whereabouts of Hymn of the Holy Land volumes.
Despite the constant rejection from Mona, he keeps his hopes up and continues to help the Traveller find the other volumes. Later in the event, Arnold also appears in the Drama Phantasmagoria: Tale of the Sword-Wielding Princess! world quest where he plays the replacement for a sick actor who was due to perform in a certain stage play.
Unfortunately, as we said earlier, there is no current way to interact with Arnold and listen to Kevin Afghani’s voice inside Genshin Impact. Even the region he was in is not accessible in the current version of the game. All we can hope for is his return in the future versions.
