In Oxenfree 2, players will return to a planet plagued by broken radio transmissions and cult-like atmosphere, five years after the events of the original game. As an environmental researcher, you will utilize your skills to explore the world’s numerous abnormalities and document the mysteries.
Oxenfree 2 release date and platforms
Oxenfree 2 is launching on July 12, 2023. The game is coming out on the PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, Xbox players won’t be able to play Oxenfree 2 on their consoles. Rumors have it that in order to compete with Xbox (which is one of Netflix’s main rivals in the realm of cloud streaming), the media giant decided to completely ignore Game Pass and the Xbox Series X|S.
The project was quickly moved to the forefront of the independent sector in 2021 thanks to Netflix’s acquisition of Night School Studio. Since then, NSS and its parent business have been working nonstop to release the eagerly anticipated sequel for PC and consoles.

Oxenfree 2 gameplay and story
Following the events of the original game, Riley returns to her homeland of Camena in Oxenfree 2. This is because electromagnetic waves are causing issues. Your objective is to learn more about Parentage, a recently founded cult that is simultaneously aiming to establish a new gateway.
Oxenfree 2 will have you negotiate hazardous terrain, manage difficult decisions, and rescue lives since Camena’s people are in danger. Like the first game, the sequel involves a lot of dialogues and decisions that change the course of action. It may have you sacrifice relationships or find things you weren’t ready for. The crux of it represents the majority of the gameplay.
