We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie brings back the surreal and captivating roll-em-up adventure that captured the hearts of gamers in the early 2000s. In We Love Katamari, players embark on a whimsical journey as the Prince, sent by the King of Cosmos to create a large Katamari and restore the starry sky. The objective is to roll the Katamari across Earth’s surface, collecting objects of increasing size to make the Katamari grow until it becomes large enough to float into space and bring back the stars.
Release date
We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie is scheduled to launch on June 1, 2023, and will be released for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X, and S.
New features
In the remastered version of We Love Katamari, graphics have undergone a complete redesign, with a ‘Gorgeous’ level that offers a visually stunning experience, contrasting with the ‘Usual Stuff’ mode. Players can also create their own playlists with the ‘FAVORITE BGM’ feature, adding a personalized touch to the game’s soundtrack.
Additional enhancements include a ‘Selfie’ function, allowing players to take photos alongside their favorite Katamaris, improved navigation to assist in missions, and an ‘Eternal’ mode that enables limitless rolling without time constraints. The Royal Reverie
A standout addition to the remastered version is the ‘Royal Reverie’ mode. Inspired by the We Love Katamari movies, this mode offers five new challenges and puts players in control of the King of Cosmos himself. Traveling back in time to the King’s childhood, players experience his rigorous training under his father and guide him through playful rolling mayhem. It’s a fun and nostalgic opportunity to witness the King’s early days.
