Asus ROG Ally is the latest handheld gaming device announced by ASUS and promises to dethrone its competitor, the Steam Deck. The full launch event will be streamed on May 11 at 10:00 AM ET. The live YouTube event can be found below.
Although no official price has been revealed by Asus, a popular leaker SnoopyTech posted on Twitter that the more powerful version of the ROG Ally with 512 GB storage and AMD Z1 Extreme CPU will cost $699.99 in the US.

Recently, he also tweeted that the less powerful version of the ROG Ally with 256 GB Storage and AMD Z1 CPU will be available to buy at $599.99 in the US.

This information was backed up by another leaker who seems to have leaked the product page of BestBuy.

The ROG Ally will be using the AMD Ryzen Z1 processor; the stand-alone specifications for the processor are shown in the image below.
The trailer for the ROG Ally also featured a docking station, which is the Asus ROG external GPU hub. The most recent model for the hub costs $1999 and has an RTX 4090 in addition to several additional connectivity options like USB-A and HDMI.
Where to buy Asus ROG Ally
The ASUS ROG Ally will be available exclusively at BestBuy for US and Canada. The signup notifications for the device are already live on their website.
For the UK, the ROG Ally’s exclusive retailer is Currys. In a recent statement, the Head of Gaming for Currys, Nick Hayden, said,

The ROG Ally, with its price, specifications, and portability, is a direct competitor to the Steam Deck. Unlike its competitors which have limited storage for games, ROG Ally is based on Windows 11. This means users will be able to access online game stores like Epic Games Store, Xbox Game Pass, and many more. The ROG Ally also comes with a 90-day trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with new additions of games added every month and many games included already.
