ARC Raiders has introduced a brand-new event for you to take part in, called Phantom Targets. This event brings you three different quests to complete and has some generous rewards to offer as well. The first of these quests asks you to upgrade Cargo Elevator antennas across the map. If you are a newcomer, or someone who hops on Embark’s extraction shooter now and then, it is understandable to find it a bit confusing.
The good news is that the quest itself is quite straightforward and does not require any additional materials to complete. In this article, I will guide you through the first quest of the Phantom Targets Project. Let’s get into it.
The Solution to Finding Cargo Elevator Antenna in ARC Raiders

Before you start walking in circles around the map, you must know that the antenna you’re looking for isn’t hidden inside a special spot in ARC Raiders. They are mounted on the extraction points. Yes, you read that right; they are on top of the extraction elevators themselves. However, do note that the quest log mentions that this objective can only be completed on Riven Tides, Spaceport, and Dam Battlegrounds. This is because these are the only maps with Cargo Elevators.

Here’s what you must do to complete the quest:
- Find any Cargo Elevator extraction point on the map. They are easily identifiable due to their industrial lift structure.
- Climb on top of the Cargo Elevator and head towards the antenna. It should be right above the extraction button.
- Interact with the antenna using E (Square button or X button if you’re on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S).
At first, the upgrade animation will make it look as if nothing was accomplished. But don’t panic. Once you repeat the same process on the other two Cargo Elevator antennas, you can head to your inventory and look at your Project Phantom Targets progression, which will now show that all three of the antennas are upgraded.
Where Can You Find Cargo Elevators in ARC Raiders?

While Cargo Elevators can be found across multiple maps in ARC Raiders, Dam Battlegrounds is the best choice to finish this quest. The map itself is built around this extraction type, which helps you find multiple antennas on the map. Here are the objective locations:
- Swampside Elevator: Close to the control tower and has high player traffic
- Red Lakes Balcony Elevator: A quiet option, usually away from main fighting
- North Complex Elevator: Usually the least contested, but expect ARCs.
- Water Treatment Control Elevator: Has good loot, could have moderate traffic
Since the quest does not require fighting ARCs or other players, I found it easy to drop in with a Free Loadout kit and get it done swiftly. However, you can go with your preferred loadout just for safety. That said, the quest itself does not force a mandate to finish all the objectives in one go. This means dying mid-raid doesn’t cost you anything, and your project progress is saved the moment you upgrade any antenna.
What’s the Fastest Way to Get All Three Antennas?
If walking across long distances to get all three antennas feels tiring in ARC Raiders, I have just the perfect solution for you. As mentioned before, each antenna upgrade must be from a different extraction point. So you will find yourself putting a marker each time you upgrade one and walk towards it. Instead, you can go for a fast loop which looks like this:
- Drop into Dam Battlegrounds with a preferred loadout, ideally something light.
- Head to the Cargo Elevator which is nearest to your location.
- Upgrade it, then open the menu and hit Surrender instead of running to the next.
- Queue again into a fresh raid on Dam Battlegrounds and repeat it until your objective is completed.
This process helps fast-forward the entire quest, and surrendering saves your progression instantly. Moreover, surrendering and joining a new raid is faster than riding out with an elevator every time.
What’s Next After Stage 1?

Upgrading the three antennas will only help you clear the first stage of the Phantom Targets Project. The second stage includes some combat as it asks you to try out different throwables at enemies, and the final stage adds energy, launcher, and fire damage to the mix.
That ends the guide for upgrading Cargo Elevator antennas in ARC Raiders. The developers have confirmed that the second part of the project will arrive with the 1.42 Update on August 18, 2026.
