Naoe is the quieter, stealthier, and more assassin-like protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Naoe even uses mostly different weapons than her bulkier samurai companion in Yasuke. As such, there are different weapons that I consider the best weapons for Naoe that you should consider using in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Best Weapons for Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
When it comes to the best weapons for Naoe to use in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it does mostly come down to your preference, especially in the weapon type. That is why I have assembled the best weapons I have found thus far in this game after beating the main story. There is a weapon for each type that you should consider.

- Dragon’s Edge Legendary Katana: Create an area of effect on hit with Dodge Attacks
- Uncommon Toxic Katana of Truth: +48% Armor Damage when hitting vulnerable enemies
- The Concubine’s Veil Epic Kusarigama: +8% Adrenaline Gain with consecutive hits
- Cindersteel Rare Tanto: +8% Adrenaline Gain with consecutive hits
- Rare Lively Tanto of Wonders: +24% Armor Piercing with abilities
Best Weapon Pairings for Naoe
In total, there are only three different weapon types she is able to use compared to Yasuke who has double the options to choose his best weapons in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. As such, you really can’t go wrong with the weapon pairings here, except for one: don’t use Kusarigama and Tanto together. Both of these weapons are strictly designed to be secondary ones to the Katana Naoe normally uses.
As such, you will be good to go with either Katana and Kusarigama or Katana and Tanto. Note that I prefer Tanto, personally, since it allows for the double assassination feature. It also helps that the weapon has the best Mastery Abilities that you can unlock for Naoe.You aren’t able to assassinate two foes at once otherwise. As such, I will always recommend the Tanto weapon type over the Kusarigama, even though the latter is more fun to use in combat.
