The best weapons for Yasuke in Assassin’s Creed Shadows come down to personal preference and what types of weapons you like to use. That said, there are a few favorites I have found as someone who has beaten the game at this point. These weapons will do well in terms of rarity and abilities:
- Strong Katana of Aspiration: 30% of an Adrenaline Chunk restores upon hitting an afflicted enemy
- Lustrous Pearl Legendary Naginata: Postured Combo Ender knocks down enemies
- Hero’s Message Legendary Teppo: Bullets ricochet to nearby enemies
- Last Breath Legendary Bow: Special ammo instantly triggers its affliction on a headshot
- Daybreak’s Fury Legendary Kanabo: Breaking Armor spreads shrapnel dealing 100% damage
Best Weapon Types for Yasuke, Explained
There are five main weapon types that Yasuke is able to use in Assassin’s Creed Shadows:
- Long Katana
- Naginata
- Kanabo
- Teppo
- Bow & Arrow
There are even dedicated skill trees for each of the five. That said, you can only carry up to two different weapon types at once. For this reason, you really need to pick the right pairings for weapons to use together. The Long Katana, for me, is always going to be the number one pick for Yasuke. It is just fast enough and it deals a ton of damage.
Your best bet is to pair the Long Katana with a ranged weapon, so either the Teppo gun or Bow. This part is ultimately up to you. The Teppo is great for power, while the Bow is more preferable for its skills, arrow types, and abilities. Either will work well.
