The Finals has brought a fresh new take on the first-person arena shooter genre with its own original game modes. Instead of the typical two-team deathmatch and things like that, the 3v3v3 format and the cashout-based objectives are something we had never seen before. This makes many people want to host The Finals custom games for focused tournaments and team practice.
So let’s find out if you can create a The Finals private lobby and invite just the players you want to be playing with.
Is It Possible To Create The Finals Custom Games?
Currently, in Season 1, you cannot create The Finals custom games or private lobbies. The Finals Creative Director Gustav Tilleby mentioned in an interview that The Finals private matches will not be available on launch but it’s something that they want to add later in the future.
So unfortunately, you will have to wait until a future update if you are looking to play private matches of The Finals. Even friends who are looking to simply practice the game in a private lobby cannot do that as even the practice area can only be started solo.

Not having any private lobby to practice against real players can be disappointing for a competitive game such as The Finals. The game highly promotes proper teamwork and strategy which any team can improve if they can privately practice their tactics without worrying about other players or winning the game.
However, this is common for most multiplayer shooter titles on launch and it shouldn’t take too long for The Finals custom games feature to drop. We can possibly see it as one of the highlight features of Season 2 which is set to come out on March 12 if it doesn’t get delayed.
