The First Berserker Khazan is quite a challenging Soulslike, requiring that its titular hero try and gain every advantage he can when taking on its enemies and bosses. The Beastslayer set of armor and weapons is a great way to do that.
However, you will need to locate the Beastslayer Scroll, a Material item in the game that unlocks the set for crafting with Qazumaka the Blacksmith at The Crevice.
Where To Find The Beastslayer Scroll

The Scroll is located in the El Ravaca Village region, specifically in El Ravaca Sector 4, which can be accessed during the Bonus Mission “Why Have You Forsaken Us?”. To access the area, you will need to complete a few steps.
- Complete the “Inconceivable Truth” main mission, which requires you to take down Shactuka, a terrifying beast that was used to terrify prisoners.
- Return to The Crevice and locate the NPC Tristan.
- He tells you about four mages who left behind important clues to an antagonist’s location that you can obtain for yourself in El Ravaca, unlocking access to the region.
- You can find the portal to it in the Pell Los Plateau travel menu, which takes you to the main village.

- Proceed through the level until you reach the El Ravaca Sector 4 Blade Nexus.
- From here, you will encounter a tower with wooden platforms from which you can proceed downward.
- Look around to find the Beastslayer Scroll just below a beam that you can walk on and use to access it.
It is recommended that you be around level 79 when exploring this region.
The Beastslayer Set Is a Great Addition to The First Berserker Khazan

With the Beastslayer Scroll in hand, all you need to do is proceed to Qazumaka and begin crafting its individual pieces. Equipping two or more of them provides you with benefits that we’ve outlined below:
Number of Pieces Equipped | Set Bonus |
2 | Increase Frontal Assault Damage by 10% |
3 | Increase Stamina damage to enemies when using Blowback: Vengeance by 30% |
4 | Increase Whirwind damage by 15% |
5 | Increase Whirlwind Damage by 1% for 15 seconds (stacks up to 20 times) |
6 | Unlocks Whirlwind: Tempest |
If you use Dual Wield Weapons in your build, the Beastslayer set is a blessing when paired with Wulfric the Resilient. This is because the Phantom’s offensive buffs are an additional boost to your Frontal Assault damage, along with the added benefit of having more Spirit Points to spend in battle once he is fully upgraded.
Additionally, Whirlwind: Tempest is a devastating skill when used correctly, requiring only 2 Fury to activate, which is a negligible price to pay for the damage it can cause to enemies. You will need to have your mastery Level at 34 to use it, though.

You will need to hold down your Potent Blow input when performing a Whirlwind Attack, allowing Khazan to use a Spirit Point and unleash a flurry of powerful attacks if his downward strike connects with an enemy. Having Whirlwind: Tempest equipped increases the damage of Khazan’s downward strike if you choose not to use the flurry attacks.
It’s useful to know that you could also farm the Beastslayer set from Shactuka, although the drop rate and the creature’s ferocious attacks make this a slow and arduous process. You’re better served picking up the Beastslayer Scroll instead.
There’s also a Jarling to pick up in El Ravaca in case you’re trying to find them all for Danjin.
