How To Start Mining In Coral Island
To start mining in Coral Island, you will have to wait till Day 5 in Spring Year 1 and converse with Mark about visiting the Northwest Caverns. Then all you have to do is visit the Caverns, have a chat with Kira there, and get the sword needed to fight off monsters in the mines.
You can start from the Earth mine and work your way down trying to find copper, coal, geodes, and holes in the ground to reach the next level of the mine.
Where To Find Mines In Coral Island
You can find mines in Coral Island Caverns that have a total of four mines: Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire. Each mine has its specific resources and a total of 40 levels, with the last level containing one Giant that needs to be rescued.
Earth mines contain Copper, earth geodes, mystery geodes, and Quartz. Water mines have Silver ores as well as other geodes, and gemstones. Wind mines contain gold ores, and Fire mines have Osmium ores. You can gather the ores for tool upgrades, crafting, and many more tasks in Coral Island.
Mines are also filled with monsters that drop loot for one of the bundles in Goddess’ Offering Temple. You can either make the monsters remain hostile or change settings so that they only attack when provoked to move freely in each mine level.

Tips For Mining Efficiently In Coral Island
In order to mine efficiently and collect lots of resources in Coral Island, follow these tips:
- Unlock fast travel and waypoint to go to the Cavern without wasting much in-game time.
- If it’s raining or if the in-game season is currently Winter and you have no crops to water, just head to the mines first thing in the morning to utilize the time.
- Bring energy-replenishing drinks like Jamu or any food to make sure you don’t faint from energy loss in the mines.
- Craft and bring as many explosives as you can to destroy rocks faster.
- Only bring items that you might need in the mines and have an empty inventory to carry as much stuff as possible.
- Try to unlock mine levels for each mine so that you can get through it easily. Mines usually have elevators every 10 levels and one open mine shaft to go down on every 5 levels.
- Place explosives next to a cluster of rocks to break them easily.
- Try to break rocks that have other rocks next to them to trigger the Rock Domino skill.
- If you’re mining for resources, make sure to mine all the ores for the Double Ore skill as well.
