How To Get Small Gifts In Destiny 2
Before we get on with the cat locations, let me discuss how you can even get your hands on the small gifts you need for the gear exchange. The Dreaming City activities that guarantee a small gift are:
- Any public event
- Ascendant Challenges
- Patrols
- Blind Well
- Lost Sector
Patrol missions and the Lost Sector have the best chance of dropping the gift, so make sure to attempt them whenever you are in the Dreaming City.
What Is A Small Gift Quest?
Small Gift Quest allows players to receive small gifts by completing Dreaming City activities, which can be exchanged to get Dreaming City gear from the cat statues hidden in nine locations. Keep in mind that you will be able to get only one gift per character per week.
These small gifts can be a sure-shot way to farm the reissued Dreaming City gear you might be missing from your collection. Just make sure to keep an eye out for the quest’s progression since the game will not inform you about the cats you have already discovered.

All Cat Locations For Small Gifts In Destiny 2
There are a total of 9 cat statues hidden throughout Dreaming City that offer one gear each when presented with a small gift. The locations include three cats in the Divalian Mists area, four cats in the Rheasilvia area, and two cats in The Strand area of the Dreaming City map.
Here’s how you can find each cat:
- Cat 1 – The first cat can be found in the Divalian Mist area. Just heard North from the spawn point till you are at the edge of the cliff and drop down to a small landing leading to a cave entrance. Head inside to find the cat statue.
- Cat 2 – This cat can be found inside the Spine of Keres. Just head inside the building and jump from one balcony to another until you are at the highest. Then, just enter the inner balcony area and start running to the right till you spot the cat next to a window.
- Cat 3 – The third cat can also be found in the Spine of Keres area. This time, instead of heading inside, go the left path that leads to an opening between a broken wall and follow the path. Take an immediate right afterward and climb the stairs to another set of stairs. Just follow the marbled path till you can spot a wall with a broken ‘U’ on top and climb it to get to the cat hidden in a bush on the opposite side of the wall.
- Cat 4 – This cat will be in the Rheasilvia area near the Petra Venj overlook. You can spot the cat right under the Awoken statue. To get to it, climb the broken rocks and follow the path that leads you directly to the statue.
- Cat 5 – Before crossing the Awoken Bridge in Rheasilvia, take a left and go down to the first dirt ramp. Walk to the cliff of rocks and find the cat on a tree branch facing west.
- Cat 6 – This cat is in the Harbinger’s Seclude. To get to the statue, head downstairs and find a hallway directly to your right. Walk down the hallway and search for the single tree room to find the cat on one of the branches.
- Cat 7 – Another one in the Harbinger’s Seclude, this cat can be found inside a separate building. Head down the first Harbinger’s Seclude hallway to reach a cavern leading to a large building. Reach the building’s roof by climbing nearby rocks to find the cat on the roof’s edge.
- Cat 8 – Found in The Strand, this cat can be found near the entrance of the Gardens of Esila. From the entrance, spot the cliff with trees growing on top, and head to it. There, you will find the cat on top of one of those trees.
- Cat 9 – Another The Strand location, this cat will be inside the Gardens of Esila. Head inside and climb up the stairs till you can spot two rock formations on the left. Climb the second rock formation to find the cat statue resting below a tree.
