How to Get Fortunate Star in Destiny 2
The only way to get Fortunate Star is to take part in the Solstice Event in Destiny 2. It is a random drop you can get from doing activities within the event, I advise doing the Bonfire Bash activity as it is easy to get Fortunate Star to drop. This means you can farm it and get multiple drops to find the god roll.
You can also try your hand at the Forge bounties and checking off Triumphs on your Solstice Event card as both can have a chance to give you Fortunate Stars. Remember that the Fortunate Star is not obtainable from any other sources, meaning you only have until the Weekly Reset on August 27 to farm the god roll for it.
Fortunate Star God Rolls in Destiny 2
Fortunate Star PvP God Roll
Here is the Fortunate Star god roll to dominate PvP games and get high elimination games in Destiny 2:
- Bowstring: Polymer String
- Accuracy +5, Draw Time -36
- Arrow: Compact Arrow Shaft
- Reload Speed +10, Handling +10
- Perk 1: Archer’s Tempo
- Precision hits will decrease Draw Time by 25% for 3 seconds
- Perk 2: Disruption Break
- An elemental, barrier, or Guardian shield break will weaken the enemy and apply an increase to your Kinetic damage by 50 percent for 5.5 seconds. Stacks with all other debuffs
- Masterwork: Draw Time – Draw time +10 with full masterwork
With this PvP god roll for Fortunate Star, you will be able to compete with some of the meta builds in Destiny 2. The Polymer String is the go-to for almost all bows and applies here as well since it gives us that faster draw time with bonus accuracy. Compact Arrow Shaft will provide the speed while Archer’s Tempo will further decrease our Draw Time by a whopping 25% as long you get those Precision hits.
Top that with the Disruption Break, which can give you that edge in a gunfight and reward you for breaking a Guardian’s shield. With the cherry on top, the Draw Time Masterwork will maximize the decrease in draw time and make your Fortunate Star in Destiny 2 stronger than ever before.
Fortunate Star PvE God Roll
Here is the best God Roll for the Fortunate Star in Destiny 2 when you need it to slay the battlefield alongside other guardians in PvE:
- Bowstring: Polymer String
- Accuracy +5, Draw Time -36
- Arrow: Compact Arrow Shaft
- Reload Speed +10, Handling +10
- Perk 1: Repulsor Brace
- Grants an overshield when you defeat a Void-debuffed target
- Perk 2: Destabilizing Rounds
- Final blows will now cause any nearby targets to become Volatile. Has a three-second cooldown.
- Masterwork: Draw Time – Draw time +10 with full masterwork
The draw time is what holds back most bows, so we are going to use the Polymer String which will decrease our Draw Time by a good margin. The Compact Arrow Shaft is also a typical pick for a bow as it provides the speed and handling necessary for more serious difficulties in PvE modes. However, survival is much more of a concern in PvE when those respawns get disabled, which is why we need the Repulsor Brace to get an overshield whenever possible.
Bows often excel at dealing damage to a single target but more often than not, you will need to take out groups of enemies in PvE, so Destabilizing Rounds is going to be our pick for the Fortunate Star god roll to help with groups of enemies. Finally, the Draw Time Masterwork will give it that final push for the decrease in draw time to make the Fortunate Star as fast as possible.
The Fortunate Star in Destiny 2 has some fun god rolls and other combinations that you can try, and since it is easily farmable through the Solstice Event, you shouldn’t miss out on it. So make sure you utilize this time before you lose the chance to get it after the event ends on August 27.
