Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate features a massive campaign that takes players through the new location and sets up stories and plotlines for the future. It also comes with a variety of puzzles that you need to solve in order to progress.

One such puzzle you’ll come across is the Curtilage Divide Barrier, which is part of the Transient Mission in the main campaign. Here’s a guide on how you can go through the puzzle and thereby proceed to the following sections of the campaign.

The Edge of Fate: Curtilage Divide Barrier Puzzle Solution

This Curtilage Divide Barrier puzzle isn’t too difficult, but it requires some work as you’ll have to disable a couple of laser barriers and open your path to the next location. Here’s a detailed step-by-step discussion on how you can disable them.

Step 1: Start the mission and reach the puzzle

Reach the first Laser Barrier.

The first step to reaching this puzzle is starting the mission named Transient in a location called Curtilage Divide. Upon starting the mission, follow the usual Destiny 2 quest marker, and you will make your way to a couple of laser barriers.

You can’t go through the barrier without disabling it.

Step 2: Pick up the Relocator and hit the targets

Use the Relocator to hit the targets.

Once you reach the puzzle, look around, and you’ll find an item called the Relocator. It looks similar to Fallen Cannons, so it shouldn’t be hard to identify.

Pick it up and hit two targets, which look like Servitor eyes. One of them is on the left of the laser barrier, and the second one is on the opposite side of the barrier. You can hit the Relocator shot through the barrier, since there are gaps in between the lasers.

Upon hitting both the targets, look behind and you’ll find a Teleporter. Hop on it and you’ll be teleported to the other side of the Laser barrier.

Step 3: Disable the Laser Barrier

Disable the first Laser barrier.

Upon teleporting, you’ll once again make your way to the front of the Laser barrier. Use a Relocator to shoot another eye on the left-hand side of the laser barrier. Upon doing this, you’ll be able to use the terminal on the right side of the barrier.

Interacting with it will disable the Laser barrier, and you can now proceed forward. Since the first Barrier is gone, you will be able to use the door right away. However, instead of hopping on the teleporter, make your way to the right side of the room.

You will notice a Matterspark, which you can interact with and transform into a ball of lightning.

Step 4: Charge the terminal

Use the Matterspark charge the terminal.

Upon transforming into the Matterspark, make your way through the door you opened in the previous steps. Keep moving and you’ll soon come across a terminal on the left side of one of the rooms.

Interact with this terminal in the Matterspark state, and you’ll charge it. This will open up a barrier on the other side of the platform where you performed this task. This barrier exposes a Teleporter which you need to use, but in a little while.

Step 5: Disable the second Laser Barrier

Disable the second laser barrier

After using the Matterspark, jump to the side of the Teleporter, and look right. You’ll notice a second Relocator. Pick it up and go back and move straight, and you’ll notice the second Laser barrier.

Use the Relocator to shoot an eye on the other side of the Laser barrier. This will activate the Teleporter, which you unlocked previously. Jump into the Teleporter, and you’ll make your way to the other side of the Laser barrier.

Here you can interact with a terminal on the left side of the Laser barrier, and it will be disabled. Retrace your path and pick up a second Relocator from the same place where you did earlier. You can now go through the path since the Laser barrier has been disabled.

Step 6: Cross the third Laser Barrier

Cross the final barrier

Upon picking up the Relocator, move back once again to the other side, and you will notice a couple of platforms to jump onto. There will be a few enemies that you can easily kill using the Relocator.

Take the right side route and jump all the way up to the last platform. Then, look to your left and you’ll notice a few hanging platforms. Jump on one of them and look down. You’ll notice another Laser barrier with an eye inside it.

Shoot the eye with the Relocator, and a new Teleporter will be activated right in front of you. Jump onto it and you’ll be teleported to the other side of the barrier.

Upon doing this, you have now made your way through the Laser barrier puzzle, and you can proceed with the Transient Mission.
