Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) is the next big gacha game by HoYoverse that ditches the open-world fighting gameplay of Genshin Impact and instead takes the hack-and-slash dungeon crawler approach. However, players are left wondering whether Zenless Zone Zero features an online co-op or a local split screen. Here is what you need to know.

Does Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) have Co-op?
No, Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) is a single-player focused game. It features a chapter-based story mode that progresses the narrative of its characters and world as the player completes the missions in each chapter. Since it is a live service gacha game, we may see some co-op functionality added later in its life cycle, but it does not feature multiple online games for its main gameplay.
There are mini-games that are playable in a PvP format at the God Finger arcade on Sixth Street. These don’t have much significance to the real game however and are only meant as a fun little side activity.

Does Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) have Split Screen?
No, there is no split-screen multiplayer in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ). Despite having control over three different Agents in every Commission, you cannot have another player control other characters. While this is disappointing, it makes sense, according to the balancing and overall mechanics of the game. Having two different characters out at the same time would make the players overpowered.
Suppose a split screen or any type of local or online co-op is implemented in Zenless Zonr Zero in the future. In that case, the developers will have to take some measures to make sure the characters are nerfed when playing co-op but this would also make the combat far less satisfying.
