Vocations give you exciting new ways to play Dragon’s Dogma 2. They allow you to learn special abilities that change how you battle your foes and what equipment you can use. Some vocations are difficult to access, requiring you to venture into the far corners of the world. Such is the case with the Magick Archer vocation.
How to Get the Magick Archer Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The Magick Archer vocation isn’t available until very late in the game’s campaign. You need to have cleared a large portion of the mandatory quests before you even gain access the area you must navigate. To get the Magick Archer vocation, you must escort the Windwalker to the Volcanic Island Camp.
You first meet the Windwalker when you emerge from Drabnir’s Grotto. That expansive cavern is south of Bakbattahl. You can travel a short distance east from the grotto’s exit to meet the Windwalker, who presents the Put a Spring in Thy Step quest. Find him some flowers for a poultice and he will accompany you partway to the Windwalker’s Home (see the above map screenshot). For more information on that process, follow the link below.

Once you meet with the Windwalker at his home, you’ll have some conversations with him and his wife, Cliodhna. Eventually, you can offer to escort the Windwalker to some nearby hot springs. Note that your escort mission takes you along a dangerous trail. Make sure to save often and battle carefully. If you got through the grotto fine, you should be okay.
When you reach the camp on the far end of the trail, escort the Windwalker to the south end, where Lamond is waiting. Lamond is the fellow you can befriend with help from three bottles of Newt Liquer. When you lead the Windwalker inside the hot springs building, Cliodhna appears in the doorway. You then unlock the Magick Archer vocation. Not only that, but she hands over the Spellbow’s Paradox. The scroll teaches the Martyr’s Bolt ability. Finally, you also secure 4800 XP, 23000 G, and the Laurel Circlet. Do you feel rewarded yet?
