The Maze of Frost and Foresight challenge in Genshin Impact adds navigation puzzles where you are in charge of guiding a cutesy animal from one location to another. Since it’s a puzzle, you are not going to get a straight line to victory; here you have to place various objects to fill in the gaps to launch our furry friend to the end goal. There are plenty of mistakes to be made since we are the only ones who can help our fuzzy friend; it can easily fall to its death.
Here is how to complete all eight navigation puzzle sections in the Maze of Frost and Foresight challenge to help Jack Frost Reach Its Destination in Genshin Impact.
How to Start on Maze of Frost and Foresight in Genshin Impact
Talk to Liliuo, found a bit east of Central Station in Everfrozen Earth, and select “I’ll go for the puzzle challenge” in the dialog option. This will activate the Maze of Frost and Foresight challenge, where you are tasked with getting Jack Frost to its destination by carefully planning the route and making use of various mechanics along the way. Each challenge is divided into two phases: Construction Phase and Action Phase.
Construction Phase covers the planning part of the gameplay, where you will be making use of Prime Ice Constructions to build a proper pathway for Jack Frost. Then, in the Action Phase, you observe Jack Frost and make use of moving platforms to help the furry animal reach its destination.
First Section
In the very first section, enter the construction phase. We have 3x Prime Ice Launchpads, it will help Jack Frost jump much higher into the air to hop over the gaps on the floor. Place the launchpad in the area highlighted with the red square box in the image. The platform on the top only has one hurdle, a storage crate, and the platform at the bottom has two gaps. Put the first Prime Ice Launchpad near the storage box and the other two next to the gaps on the platform below. Then switch to the Action phase to observe the progress.
Second Section
In this section, we have 1x Prime Ice Launchpad as before and a new x3 Prime Ice Cube. The Ice Cubes act as basic platform boxes to cover gaps between two objects. You can also interact with the cubes to move them around. When Jack Frost walks up to the Prime Ice Cube, it will automatically change their direction to the other side. To solve this section, place a single Prime Ice Launchpad next to the gap on the upper platform, shown with the yellow circle in the image. Now place all three Prime Launch Pads marked on the spots marked with red squares in the image.
Now enter the action phase. Once Jack Frost bounces off the Prime Ice Launchpad, move the Prime Ice Cube so Jack Frost will run into it and change the direction from left to right. After a few steps, it will fall to the lower platform. Now move the Prime Ice Cube up to get Jack Frost up so it will have a direct route to the finish zone.
Third Section
For the third section, we have two Prime Ice Cubes and a single Prime Ice Launchpad. Place the two Prime Ice Cubes in the red square spot in the image, and put the Prime Ice Launchpad in the yellow circle zone. That’s it; now enter the Action Phase. Jack Frost will start walking to the left. Once it nears the edge of the platform, move the Prime Ice Cube on the left so Jack Frost bounces its head against it and changes its direction to the right. Here it will hop off the Prime Ice Launchpad to reach the final destination.
Fourth Section
Here we have to make do with 1x Prime Ice Cube and 2x Prime Ice Launchpads. Place the Prime Ice Cube on the right, as marked with the red square, and now place two Prime Ice Launchpads: one in the middle and the other one near the Jack Frost (Marked with the yellow circle). Once you enter the action phase and Jack Frost reaches the Prime Ice Cube, move it up so it can bounce off to the left, and then Jack Frost will land on the Prime Ice Launchpad to lift to the top of the platform.
Fifth Section
Compared to the other ones, this one is simple; we just have to place two Prime Ice Launchpads on the platform on the left of the stack of crates and the other Prime Ice Launchpad on the platform to the right of the crates, both marked with a yellow circle in the image. This one is entirely focused on Jack Frost just bouncing on its way to victory. Do make sure to move the moving platform once Jack Frost reaches the other side of the crate, or it will fall off the edge.
Sixth Section
For the sixth one, we have two Prime Ice Cubes and a single Prime Ice Launchpad. Place both Prime Ice Cubes in the red square marked on the map and place the Prime Ice Launchpad on the edge of the bottom platform. Once in the action phase, make sure to move the cube on the bottom platform so Jack Frost bounces its head off to the right so it can start moving to the Prime Ice Launchpad and hop off to the end goal.
Seventh Section
For this section, we have 1 Prime Ice Cube and two sets of Prime Ice Launchpads. First, place the Prime Ice Launchpad (Seen as a yellow circle on the image) next to the crate on the bottom platform; now place the second Prime Ice Launchpad on the edge of the platform at the top-right. Lastly, place the Prime Ice Cube (Seen as a red square on the image) on the moving platform, next to the crate on the upper platform.
The game is about moving the platform, which includes the Prime Launch Pad on the left and the Prime Ice Cube on the right. Once Jack Frost makes it to the cube on the right, lift it up to the upper platform; now quickly lift the Prime Ice Launchpad platform on the left to make Jack Frost hop over two launch pads on its way to the goal spot on the left.
Eight Section
For the eighth and final challenge, we have to deal with 3 sets of Prime Ice Launchpad and 2x Prime Ice Cube. First, place the Prime Ice Cube (Seen as a red square in the image) on the moving platform next to the Jack Frost spawn point. The second Prime Ice Cube should be on the moving platform on the left of the crate at the bottom platform. Now we move on to the Prime Ice Launchpads (Seen as a yellow circle in the image). Place the first Prime Ice Launchpad next to the crate on the bottom platform, near the cube we placed earlier.
The second Prime Ice Launchpad should be placed at the edge of the platform on the top-right, and the last one on the moving platform on the top-left of the puzzle. Now, in the action phase, move the first Prime Ice Cube at the spawn point to keep Jack Frost walking in the left direction. Soon, it will use the launchpad to move up to the top of the crate. Now, quickly move the cube so Jack Frost bounces off and changes the direction to the right.
Now move the platform under the Prime Ice Launchpad (The one near the crate) to give the pad a boost for Jack Frost to reach the upper platform. Then it’s nothing but a soft sailing to the destination.
Voila, you are done with all eight puzzle navigation sections in the Maze of Frost and Foresight challenge.
