Quests in Gothic 1 Remake come with their own challenges – either locating hard-to-find NPCs, resources, or, in the case of the Orc Cemetery quest in Chapter 2, finding two parts of a key to unlock the Main Chamber.
To properly investigate the visions in your mind, Y’Berion will send you to Orc Cemetery. Deeper down in the cemetery, you will see Baal Lukor being attacked by orcs. Defeat the orcs and continue with the quest, and you will come across a keystone-locked door. Here, Baal Lukor will tell you the Sleeper we are looking for is behind the keystone door, and our job is to open it by finding the key.
How to Open the Keystone Door in Orc Cemetery quest
The Keystone Door opens up by finding two pieces of the Orc Graveyard key and bringing them to Baal Lukor. The first piece for the Orc Graveyard key is obtained easily; the second one requires a bit of work and a quest-related item, ‘Orc Lever.’ Let’s start with the location for the first piece.
First Orc Graveyard Keystone Location
In the Main Chamber room, head down the slope next to the Main Chamber Door. Follow the path, and it will lead you to a small room with a strange orcish altar in the middle. Don’t pay attention to the green flames on the altar, but do interact with the dead body lying next to it.
Interact with the corpse, and you will get “Half a Key (Part of an old key)”, the first set of the Orc Graveyard key. Baal Lukor will request us to find the other half of the key to hopefully open the main door.
Second Orc Graveyard Keystone Location
In the same room where we found the first key, next to the strange altar, if you look to the left, you will find a hole in the ground with yellow glowing lights coming out of it. You know what to do: jump into the hole. Then another jump into the floor below, here you will see a corpse hiding behind steel bars.
The corpse has the second half of the Orc Graveyard key or half of the key. The steel bar is blocking access to the key, and the only way to lift it is by inserting the Orc Lever into the wall next to the bars.
Finding the Orc Lever
Head down the route across the 2nd key spot, behind the giant stone pillar in the middle of the room. It will lead to another room, much similar to the last one, with a stone pillar in the middle. Here you will have two routes, one on the left and another on the right. Take the route on the left (As seen in the image above), the one with the corpse at the entrance.
Keep heading straight, and you will find the Orc Lever next to the brazier on the floor. Pick up the lever and get back to the spot with the Steel Bars. Insert the lever on the well to lift the gate, and you will get the second piece of the Orc Graveyard key, “Half a Key (Part of an old key)”.
Now with both Half a Keys in possession, make your way back to the Main Chamber, interact with the door, and insert the Orc Graveyard key to open it. That’s it, now the Main Chamber doors are open, you can head inside and continue with the rest of the quest in Gothic 1 Remake.
