Grand Blue features 10 different Devil Fruits and, just like in the anime, each fruit comes with its own name, bonus, advantages, and also a fair share of demerits. Some fruits are found easily, and others are rarer than coming across a unicorn in the wilderness. Obtaining the fruit will elevate your gameplay to a new height, where you will be melting bosses and hordes of enemies simultaneously without putting any effort.
All of that is possible by acquiring the perfect fruit and knowing where they stand on the tier list. Here I will put all 10 Fruits in Grand Blue on a tier list to help you figure out the fruit that will be perfect for you.
Grand Blue Fruit Tier List
| Tier | Fruits (Rarity) |
| S-Tier | * Darkness Fruit (Celestial) * Flame Fruit (Mythic) |
| A-Tier | * Bomb Fruit (Epic) * Wolf Fruit (Legendary) * Strength Fruit (Rare) * Chop Fruit (Epic) |
| B-Tier | * Drain Fruit (Rare) * Spike Fruit (Rare) |
| C-Tier | Cannon Fruit (Uncommon) |
| D-Tier | Spin Fruit (Uncommon) |
The S-Tier features Darkness Flame Fruit; first, let’s talk about Darkness Fruit; it’s deemed by many to be the best fruit for PVP-focused gameplay, and for PVE, you have Flame Fruit. Darkness Fruit’s ability to pull a group of enemies into a black hole by creating a vortex is the absolute best part about it and the reason for its place in the S-Tier bracket. The dark matter also deals burst damage, which is another plus for Darkness Fruit. On the other side, we have Flame Fruit, a perfect choice for dealing with bosses and random enemies. It’s also great for crowd control and taking care of multiple enemies at the same time.
Note: Darkness Fruit will be a bit difficult to get your hands on with its 0.3% drop chance.
The A-Tier features 4 different fruits, and each is special in its own way. First, let’s take a look at Wolf Fruit; it comes with great transformation abilities, a perfect choice who is going all-out offense in combat. Strength Fruit also plays into aggressive combat by strengthening melee combat potential. Bomb Fruit adds more power to explosive attacks, perfect for AOE focus damage dealing. Lastly, Chop Fruit, which adds high mobility movement to the character.
In the B-Tier, we have Drain Fruit, perfect for gaining sustainability during combat but lacking in damage dealing. In the second, we have Spike Fruit, which adds good range pressure on enemies, but you are also dealing with the same problem as Drain Fruit; by having lackluster damage-dealing potential.
In the C-Tier and D-Tier, we have Spin and Cannon Fruit; both are bad. The best thing about Spin Fruit is that it’s easy to obtain and still a better choice than having no fruit. It’s an uncommon fruit; you are getting a mobility bonus, bottom-of-the-barrel DPS, and synergy. It’s the best choice if you have no fruit, but I will recommend getting at least the Cannon over Spin Fruit. Cannon allows a ranged projectile but also suffers from low combat potential compared to the rest.
What are the Ways to Get Fruits in Grand Blue?

You will get fruits by acquiring them via trees, defeating world bosses, and game codes.
The very first one you will get by talking to Almighty Calvin or Kelvin (Wizard) in the Anchor Town (Starter Area) to get the quest. Completing the quest will reward you with a fruit chest, which drops a random fruit.
Defeating world bosses that spawn every 60 minutes. If you grab the title of MVP in the patch, you will be awarded two world boss chests. My favorite would be to spend Celestial Coins at the shop to buy Fruit Chests; just grind the coins and buy a bulk of them in the shop. If you are lucky, you might get a rare one.
- Single Fruit Chest – 1,200 Celestial Coins (Most)
- 3x Fruit Chest- 3,300 Celestial Coins (Preferred)
- 10x Fruit Chest – 11,000 Celestial Coins
- 20x Fruit Chest – 21,000 Celestial Coins
The best choice here is to get 3 of them at once; if you’re lacking coins, buying a single one will also be good. When you are planning to equip one, you can easily make the judgement by picking the rarity of each fruit.
Lastly, you can find the fruits on the trees. Here, I recommend getting the Treasure Hunter outfit to gain a better chance of digging up a fruit chest with your Rusty Shovel.
