Grounded 2 brings its biggest update yet with Into the Abyss. In this update, you can explore the underwater section of Brookhollow Park. This section allows you to explore the Abyss, and it’s where you can get the Infused Ooze in the game. In my run, I only found a single way to obtain Infused Ooze, which was by defeating the Toebiter Leviathan. And I must warn you, it was quite a challenge.
If you are marching into the Abyss to upgrade your axe and get your hands on the Infused Ooze, be prepared. This guide will walk you through the steps of acquiring the Infused Ooze in Grounded 2’s Into the Abyss update.
How to Acquire Infused Ooze in Grounded 2
The only confirmed drop of Infused Ooze in Grounded 2 is on defeating the Toe Biter Leviathan. Here’s my method of acquiring Infused Ooze easily in Grounded 2:

Once you are inside the Abyss, follow the story and head into the Monitoring Station.

Inside the area, I made my way to the lab entrance, progressing forward till I encountered an automatic door. Go through it and keep going downward, underwater.

As you follow the path down, you will encounter one of the strongest creatures in the game, called the Toe Biter Leviathan.

The creature has no particular weaknesses, but its resistances include Slashing, Venom, and Water. I recommend bringing a well-upgraded Spear with you; otherwise, the fight can be tough. Once you have your preferred build, you can actually win this fight by using an easy tactic.

Go near the Toe Biter Leviathan and make it start attacking you. Once the creature has registered you and starts chasing, lead it back to a corner near the entrance. When I was trying out this method, at times the creature seemed to be stuck at its initial location, but it may not always be the case, so be careful. Look at the spot from where you came in, and the corner should be to its left, with a golden pillar structure.

The pillar itself has a hiding place for you to get in, and where the creature, obviously, cannot, for its size. This gives you all the advantage you need. Once the creature is done with its attacks, quickly jump out and get on top of the Leviathan to deal a few strikes, and right before it attacks again, go back in.

Repeat this a few times till the creature is dead. Once it’s down, it will drop the Infused Ooze. Also be careful of the minions it has with it, as they can also deal damage to you when you get near. However, I was able to deal with them once the Leviathan was killed.
What Does Infused Ooze Do in Grounded 2?
Infused Ooze helps you upgrade your Omni-Tool so you can upgrade your axe to Level 4. This is a necessary upgrade if you are doing a New Game+ run, as you will need more damage when dealing with harder enemies in general. Hence, I recommend not missing out on this particular resource.
And that sums up the guide on acquiring Infused Ooze in Grounded 2. Be mindful of the scary enemies underground and make sure not to underestimate the Abyss, as it can give you quite a tough time.
