Grounded 2 Into The Abyss has opened the game again to brand new Trinkets, Optical Disks, and weapons. The Into The Abyss update offers three new weapons with different stats and perks, separating them into three different gameplay styles. While the weapons’ appearance and stats might be far apart from each other, the only thing common between them is the way to obtain them. They are not going to be easy; we must dive into the water and find a select room holding a corpse to loot most of the weapons here.
If you are looking to obtain the weapon and want to know which weapon is perfect for you, then in this guide I will list out all the location details for each weapon and compare the stats to give you the best weapon perfect for your gameplay style.
All New Weapons Location and Stats
Here is a short overview of all three weapons’ stat and perk details.
| Weapon Name | Damage | Stun | Speed | Critical | Perk |
| Cut Lass [Slashing/ Tier 4] | 4 | 4 | 7 | 3 | Perfect Slash Critical hit chance on perfectly charged attacks with swords. |
| Fellfeast [Smashing/ Tier 3] | 8 | 8 | 1 | 2 | Charged Life Steal Charged attack will heal the player |
| Rime Rend [Fresh/ Tier 3] | 7 | 1 | 1 | 3 | Chilling Attack Attack causes enemies to chill and freeze |
If you are looking for nothing but speed and DPS, then Cut Lass will be a perfect mate for your journey. If your focus is pure raw concentrated damage on hit and Stun rating, look no further than the Fellfeast. And Rime Rend is perfect for anyone who wants to play with elemental status effects, leaving chill and freeze status on enemies on hit.
Where to Find the Cut Lass Weapon in Grounded 2

Get to the northwest corner of the Pergola Area to find a water section. Before you think about diving, take off all the armor first. Once underwater, you will find a cave leading deeper. Soon you will come across a pipe covered by Soggy Root. Cut the roots open and head inside; you will face even more Soggy Roots and Pond Moss blocking your path. The tactic stays the same: cut them open to clear the way inside.
Tip: Make sure to poke your head out of the water to get some oxygen before getting started on the grass cutting.
Soon you will find the way out of the water into an underground cave with Gloom Shroom (Giant White Mushrooms) all over the area. You will not be alone here; the cave will also have bugs shooting lasers in your direction. First thing to do is to wear every piece of armor you had taken off earlier. Defeat the monster, then head up to the corner of the area where you will find a cluster of Gloom Shrooms. Break them down to reveal the hidden area containing the weapon.
Note: When you break open the Gloom Shrooms, they will drop Gloom Chunks; don’t leave these drops; grab them, they will come in handy later.
Where to Find the Fellfeast Weapon in Grounded 2

Fellfeast Weapon is found in the middle of the Bridge biome in Brookhollow Park. Here we have to go deeper underwater; make sure to wear a diving helmet and then perform a dive in the water. Now look for a hole in the ground; it will lead you to a cave.
The cave is fairly linear, and soon you will come across Soggy Root blocking your path; cut it open to go further into the cave. After cutting more of those roots, eventually you find a skeleton next to the glowing yellow plants. The weapon Fellfeast will be lying next to the corpse, near the plants.
Tip: While you are here, you will find Supreme Marble rocks around corners; mine them before leaving the area.
Where to Find the Rime Rend Weapon in Grounded 2

The very last weapon on the list, “Rime Rend,” is available northwest of Gnarly Bark, south of Ice Cream Cart. I recommend wearing the Fuzzy armor set to keep your body dry, since the area will be a bit too cold. Make sure to carry the Brat Burst item with you, as you will need one for the cave.
Get to the spot marked on the map; here you will find a hole leading to the cave underneath the yellow slate wrapping around the tree. Follow the route, go all the way down in the cave, and you will come across a cracked wall near the green goo section. The only way to blow up the wall is by tossing the Brat Burst bomb.
Tip: Avoid engaging with any monsters on your way to the weapon; you can just run past them without getting involved in any dangerous encounters.
Use the bomb to blow up the cracked wall to reveal the hidden location. Head inside, and in the right corner of the room, you will find the Rime Rend weapon.
