Halloween: The Game challenges are as gory as the executions; some challenges are pretty straightforward, while other challenges require you to perform some heinous task to complete them. It wouldn’t be a Halloween game without murder; the very first set of challenges in the prologue paint a clear picture of what will unfold in the future.
The challenges are brutal but, at the same time, make the run different from the other; you are getting more value out of a level, and some of them are pretty confusing to follow. So I will point out all 6 challenges in the prologue Escape from Smith’s Grove in Halloween: The Game.
All Challenges in The Game Escape From Smith’s Grove
We are dealing with 6 different challenges in Escape from Smith’s Grove. Let’s take a look at what they are, then I will go through all of them and how to complete each one.
- Challenge #1 | Mental Patient: Terrify an Orderly and cause him to flee.
- Challenge #2 | Psychedelic Visage: Grab and Execute 3 Orderlies.
- Challenge #3 | Dark and Stormy: Execute an Orderly with the telephone pole.
- Challenge #4 | Background 18: Throw an Orderly to his death.
- Challenge #5 | Undetected: Complete the chapter without alerting any Orderlies
- Challenge #6 | Backseat Driver: Kill or drive away every Orderly before you escape.
Challenge #1

Terrify an Orderly and cause him to flee.
Our goal here is to terrify an orderly and cause him to flee. This can be done in two ways: either brutally murder one orderly and let the other one find the remains, which causes terror and makes the second orderly flee in terror. Or just grab an orderly, let them go, and hit them a few times to scare them, which will also cause them to flee the scene.
Challenge #2

Grab and Execute 3 Orderlies.
Pretty straight and simple: just grab an orderly and hit the execute button to murder them. I recommend waiting until they are alone and then sneaking up behind them to perform the execution move. It is best to perform the execution when they are alone so they don’t distract anybody else.
Challenge #3

Execute an Orderly with the telephone pole.
There are many telephone poles found at the stage exit on the right of the road. These poles will have sharp nails at the bottom. So grab an orderly and move closer to the pole to get the kill prompt; press the context button to perform a Rusty Impale.
Challenge #4

Throw an Orderly to his death.
Just grab an orderly and take them up the stairs, and you will get the kill prompt “Throw Down.” This will make your character throw the orderly down the stairs and kill him in the process. Throwing the orderly off the ledge also works; in short, there are plenty of ways to throw a person to their death.
Challenge #5

Complete the chapter without alerting any Orderlies
This one will be a bit longer, since we are going to complete the entire prologue without causing any alert, which also means not killing anyone. This somewhat pacifist run will require a lot of patience to get through. The stealth segment is short; most of the work happens at the beginning. The rest of the route is pretty linear with little to no obstacles.
- Once the game starts and you get the objective “Escape the Sanitarium”, just keep on walking and head down the stairs.
- Keep on walking until you are on the road. If you look to your right, you will see a bunch of Orderlies or guards with lights coming your way. Now don’t move forward; instead, head back, climb the stairs to go back to our original location.
- Now make your way to the parked ambulance and go behind it, and you will find the patient hiding here.
- Once you spot him, he will make a run to the stairs; now the only thing you have to do is hide behind the ambulance.
- Soon after, two guards will show up on the stairs; one of them will arrest the patient that we freed earlier. The second guard will be on the road talking to another orderly; once he is done talking, he will head up the stairs and make his way to the entrance of the building.
- Leave him be; once he is out of the picture by moving into the building, you can head to the stairs.
- Once you are on the road, you will see an orderly to your left, standing on the road, pointing his flashlight to his left and right. Our goal is to head straight, pass the guard, and get closer to the yellow light bulb at a distance on a building with stairs.
- But unfortunately for us, the route is blocked by the guard or orderly. The next step is to wait until the guard points his flashlight to his left, at the dead end. Take this time to slowly pass the guard and move to the right of the road.
- Now wait until the orderly does the same thing as before and points the flashlight to his left; take this time to move to the right and make a run for the light at a distance.

- Now turn right and go down the slope; the path is pretty straightforward and linear. Keep on moving forward until you come across a stone bridge.
- Move up the slope on the right to get to the top of the bridge. Here, interact with the power box surrounded by patients; this will turn off the electricity.
- Now open the chained door on its left. Go through the gate, and soon later, you will find a car on the road. Interact with the car to escape.
Voilà, the challenge is done and dusted.
Challenge 6
Kill or drive away every Orderly before you escape.
It’s the exact opposite of what we faced in the last challenge; instead of running away without killing anyone. Now, to complete this challenge, we must kill every single orderly in the area. The second option to complete the challenge is to make them flee, so you can either kill all of them or terrify them. The prologue has around 12 guards or orderlies in total, so you know what to do with them to complete the challenge.
