Destiny 2 server downtimes haven’t been too long in the past, but lately, Bungie has been taking their time with server maintenance. The next DLC called The Final Shape is set to launch soon, and because of that, the Destiny 2 servers have gone offline, but how long will the servers be down? Here is what you need to know.
Destiny 2 The Final Shape Server Downtime Duration
Destiny Servers are now back up and running! Destiny 2 servers went offline on June 3, 2024, at 9 am PDT and were offline for 25 hours. This long downtime is to ensure there are no issues with the massive and highly anticipated launch of The Final Shape.
Still, you should be expecting some issues on launch since that has been the case historically with Destiny and even other games. All you can hope for is that the issues are minor at best, and most of them have been found and resolved during the server maintenance period.

When Will Destiny 2 Servers Be Up Again?
After the server maintenance for The Final Shape, Destiny 2 servers will be up on June 4, 2024, at 10 am PDT. However, this will just allow some players to log in while the background maintenance continues. Because of this, the Clan features will remain offline, and the players who downloaded the update before server maintenance may be placed in a queue.
The full server maintenance period will be finished 2 hours later at 12 pm PDT. Console players who may have encountered issues previously can restart their console and download the update once the maintenance is completely finished.
Here is when you can expect the Destiny 2 servers to be up in your timezone, the full maintenance will end around 2 hours after this given time:
- PDT: June 4, 2024 at 10 am
- CDT: June 4, 2024, at 12 pm
- EDT: June 4, 2024, at 1 pm
- UTC: June 4, 2024, at 5 pm
- JST: June 5, 2024, at 2 am
- AEST: June 5, 2024, at 3 am
Remember that this is when the Destiny 2 server maintenance is “expected” to conclude, according to Bungie, so it may get extended should Bungie see the need for it if they find some game-breaking issues.
