Palworld allows you to breed two captured Pals together to produce offspring. Pals born on your farm have a strong chance to possess the passive skills of their parents. So, if you have certain Pals with desirable passive skills, breeding Pals on your base is the best idea.

How Can I Breed Pals in Palworld
To breed a pal, you will need one male and one female Pal. Along with that, you will also need a Pal breeding farm as well as a Cake to encourage them to breed.
Build a Pal Breeding Farm
You can unlock this item and start crafting it once you hit level 19, so make sure you level up fast. To build a Pal breeding farm, you will need the following items:
- x100 Wood
- x200 Stone
- x50 Fiber
Tips for building a Pal breeding farm:
- If you are low on fiber, you can easily make it in your base by processing wood through a Crusher.
- A Pal breeding farm requires a lot of space to build, so you might need to clear a decent portion of your farm to build one.
- You will need one cake per Pal pair to facilitate breeding. One cake yields one Pal offspring. You can also place multiple cakes in the box if you wish to breed multiple Pals from the same pair.
- Ensure you have enough cakes at hand before starting the process. Check out our guide on how to make Cake in Palworld.
Start the Breeding Process
- Place the cake in the Breeding Farm Chest on your farm.
- Make sure that both the Pals you want to breed together are currently working on your base.
- Select them and place them inside the Pal breeding farm.
- Once they find and eat the cake, you will see a Breeding indicator in the middle of the farm.
- You can check the progress of the breeding by gauging the progress bar surrounding a mystery egg shape.
- When the breeding is successful, you will receive a new Pal egg. They can be hidden sometimes in the farm, obscured by a bush, rock, or tree. So once the egg progress bar is complete, thoroughly check the farm.
Hatch The Egg
Once you have the egg, you will need to hatch it to get a newborn Pal. There are two ways you can go about it. You can either walk with them on your person for enough time or place them in an Egg Incubator. The Egg Incubator unlocks once you reach level 7 and you can hatch one egg at a time in it. Crafting it requires the following materials:
- x10 Paldium Fragments
- x5 Cloth
- x30 Stone
- x2 Ancient Civilization Parts
Ancient civilization parts are a little rare in Palworld. The easiest way to get your hands on them is through defeating or capturing Alpha Pals, Lucky Pals, or Dungeon Boss Pals. You might also stumble upon some ancient civilization parts in certain rare-tier chests.
Tips on incubating Pal eggs:
- Similar to Pal breeding farms, Egg Incubators also take up a lot of space. Ensure that you have sufficient space at your base.
- Be mindful about the temperature. If you have an egg that requires a lot of heat (as you can see by the message floating above the incubator), light some bonfires around the incubator to expedite the hatching process.
- Different types of eggs take different amounts of time to hatch. If possible, alter the environment around an incubator to expedite the process (as mentioned above).

Can I Breed Different Types of Pals Together in Palworld?
Yes! You can breed two different types of Pals together for a chance to hatch a unique offspring. There are numerous breeding combinations in Palworld. The offspring will depend on which two Pals you use for breeding.
While all combinations may not necessarily work, if they end up working, you will stand a chance to own a unique Pal that features the strongest abilities of both its parents.
