Completing the shrines and obtaining the Pentaforce Key is crucial to unlocking one of the three possible endings in Revenge of the Savage Planet. To get the Pentaforce key, you must complete 5 Shrines, each featuring unique puzzles, traversal challenges, and fighting waves of enemies. This guide will walk you through each shrine, step-by-step, helping you solve every challenge and move one step closer to uncovering the ultimate ending!
#1 Shrine Of Timing

Your first Shrine is located at Nu Florida in Stellaris Prime, west of your base. We suggest you unlock the Stomp Booster before starting this shrine, as it is necessary. Once you reach this area, use your Stomp Booster to break the ground underneath, and you find yourself next to a teleporter. Activate it to start your first shrine.
This puzzle requires you to shoot all of the Pentaforce Locks before each one refills. Once you have timed your shots correctly, the door will open for you to move on to the next stage.

- The 1st room is pretty straightforward, 5 Pentaforce Locks around the door. Shoot all of them before the ones you shot refill, and the door will open for you to pass through.
- The 2nd room has a pipe dangling on top with the locks for you to shoot. Shoot the first one, located towards the right side of the pipe from the entrance, and follow the neon signs to the ledges above using your grapple, and you’ll see the second hexagon around the pipe. The third hexagon can be found facing the final door as you use your grapple and reach the topmost part of the base. Shoot the 3rd hexagon and open the door to your final puzzle. This room requires some steady hands as you need to shoot these locks while moving!

- From the entrance of the 3rd room, there is a path to the left and right, both leading to an area with a hexagon. Go to either side and shoot it, and hurry to the opposite side to shoot the other one. Once both of them are shot, the final hexagon is located above the main door, opposite to the entrance.
As you finish this shrine and get the Pentaforce Key, go back to your base and research it to access the locations of the other shrines!

#3 Shrine Of Grind

The 3rd shrine is located in Cactus Valley of Xephyr. Get to this area, and grapple to start grinding towards the right to a cave opening with a breakable wall. Break this wall using your Magfork with the crystal on the right side of the cliff. Go inside and interact with the teleporter to start your 3rd shrine.
- The 1st and 2nd rooms should pose no challenge, as it just about grappling and getting the timing right. In the first room, just shoot the lock connected to the door and you will move forward. Once you reach the end of the 2nd room, one of the locks is on the top of the door, and the other lock on the opposite wall, so just shoot both of them and the door will open.
- The 3rd room can be a bit tricky. At first glance, the initial grapple point seems to launch you straight toward the final shrine door—but it won’t open just yet. To unlock it, you’ll need to destroy 5 Pentaforce locks hidden throughout the chamber. These hexagonal panels are mounted on walls and pillars around the room. As you reach the main door, you’ll see a cluster of orbs, whipping a couple of them allows you to create a sequence of rails. The pipe in the centre denotes how many locks are to be destroyed, green lights show locks you’ve already destroyed, while red lights mark those still active. Tip: The first hexagon is directly below these indicators!

Once you’re grinding, keep your eyes open—most of the remaining locks are only visible while you’re grinding.
#4 Shrine Of Combat

Zenithian Rift – Bilodeau’s Floating Isles holds the 4th shrine. Equip your Goo Ingestor and siphon up some Ferro Goo, then spray it onto surfaces to electrify the three bulbous energy plants in the area. Two of the bulbs are located near the pond filled with Simian Puffers, so approach with caution and aim carefully. The third bulb requires you to dive underwater using the Franx Underwater Scooter; follow the glowing neon signs, and you’ll find a node in a secret cave. Spraying it with ferro goo will activate the teleporter, which can be found by following the neon signs underwater.
As the title suggests, the Shrine of Combat is pretty straightforward. Defeat the wave of enemies to progress and get the Pentaforce key. The enemies range from cybernetic versions of Beetle to Raccocco. So load up with good gear and plentiful health supplies before you tackle this shrine!
#5 Quasadron IX – Summit

Unlike the other shrines that you might discover through exploration (or our guides!), this shrine is part of the main story. To access it, progress through the story until you complete the mission “That Has My Name On It”, which involves collecting core tools and gadgets. The final upgrade you’ll acquire is the Remote Drone Controller for EKO, found in the Summit region. You’ll notice a nearby teleporter there, but it remains inactive at this stage.
The mysterious robot will contact you again, starting a new mission called “Fine, I’ll Do It”. In this mission, you’ll guide EKO through small areas, each filled with security lasers you must skillfully avoid. Once all three terminals have been activated via EKO, the Summit teleporter will power on, granting you access to the 5th shrine.

In the Shrine of Challenge, just use a Blight Bomb to remove the protection from the Pentaforce lock. Once you shoot the lock, the door will open, and you can move on.
In the next room, many enemies will spawn, including Voltbeetles and Cyber Babutts. These guys are protected by green energy shields that can only be broken using a Blight Bomb explosion.

After that, you’ll face off against the Cyber Wardrill. It will alternate between phases: when it glows green, you must hit it with a Blight Bomb to break its defences; when it glows orange, only a Bombegranate will deal damage. The moveset of the boss is to charge at you, as well as do aerial stomps.
It also has a drone above it that’s pretty annoying! Be warned: if you die at any point during this fight, you’ll be sent back to the first room of the shrine and must redo the entire sequence.
After unlocking all the Pentaforce Keys, go back to your base and research it and you’ll unlock the “It’s Alive” Achievement!
