After waking up in Woodberry, one of the first adventures you will embark upon in The Day Before is Task: Radio Contact, where Eddard will ask you to get three walkie-talkies from Fortune City and extract back safely. It can be difficult to find, especially all three of them, so let’s learn how to find the walkie-talkies quickly and easily.
How to Find All 3 Walkie Talkies in The Day Before
After completing the tutorial and becoming an official resident of Woodberry, You can now start Task: Radio Contact from your journal. This task will take you to central Fortune City, so gear up because you might find a lot of players and zombies in your way.
- Make your way to central Fortune City marked with a yellow zone on your map.
- Press M to see your location on the map.
- Be careful of other players heading to the same place. It is advised you sneak if you don’t have good gear.
- Once you are inside the yellow circle on the map, start searching for lootable things like vehicle doors, bags, postboxes, food stalls, etc.
- Truck doors seem to be a common place to find these because that is where we found them.

If you really can’t find all three, you can still extract and come back if you feel it is getting too unsafe because if you die after finding one or two, you will lose them and have to find them again.
Once you find them, open your map and check for the nearest extract marked by a cyan icon of a man running through a door. Beeline to this extract and get back to Woodberry before you get eliminated by another player.
From there, just head back to Eddard and select the Complete the Task option to finish the Radio Contact task.
